We watned to place an order for a night in the coming saturday.
their service says check in only at 17-18 and checout at 12 next day. hardly enough to cjeck in. have supper, go to sleep, wake up have breakfast and checkout.
with all the situation in israel and and all the sobbing and cries and complaints of the tour operators and hotels about how poor and misrable they are with no guests and revenue - they are blody arrogant to be so strict. when i asked if i could check in at 14 or 15 they refused.
they were not fully booked. not even half.
so arrogant. they would rather stay proud than have revenue.
well - let them stay with their arrogance and pride. it will not lead them far.

Dear David,
Allow me first to apologize for the manner in which your request was responded to. The feeling of arrogance that came through is unacceptable not only in these difficult periods of war but at any other time as well. Regarding check-in times on Saturday (17.00) - throughout Israel you will find check-in on Saturday's is late (at some hotels as late as 19:00), this is done to accommodate those who don't drive on the Sabbath and require a particularly late check out. It is also the reason that Saturday rates are particularly low and often include special deals.
In this case, this Saturday, despite the war, Mizpe Hayamim is almost fully booked - which is why your request for an early check-in or late check-out were not approved.
Never-the-less, arrogance and insensitivity are not typical of our staff and are not tolerated. The situation should have been explained to you with a warmth and smile as would usually be done here. For some reason we are not able to send you a private email, but if you contact us, we will be happy to discuss the matter further.
We wish you a safe and calm weekend.
Galit

One of the best hotels one can experienced. The friendliness of the staff from the moment you go through the gates until you reach your "little piece of heaven". The food is "too die for" The service staff is at your call, no matter how little or big the request. Dorit made sure that our stay was something one will never forget. Michal did wonders with her hands during one of the best massages ever given. The spa manager was only a pleasure to work with and so professional. The hotel is a 10+ and a MUST!

The positive: very calm and nice atmosphere all around the hotel and dining room, helpful staff and delicious healthy food both breakfast and dinner with a huge variety. Produce and dairy comes from the hotel's OWN organic vegetable and fruit garden and dairy farm. The hotel is located in scenic Rosh Pina on a hill with a gorgeous view of the surrounding area- great view from the outdoor jacuzzi and gym. The spa is expensive but offers a great variety of treatments and seems professional and well-organized. The hotel offers fun and relaxing activities included in the price.

The negative: Some parts of the hotel require renovation as they look a bit old and worn-down. For example the elevator was very old and shouldn't be there in such an expensive hotel. Also- the rooms were nice but not luxurious enough as one would expect. The pool was not cleaned properly.

Overall we had a good and relaxing time but the hotel should really consider a renovation to be classified as a top-notch hotel.

Dear Ethan,
We thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback of your experience at Mizpe Hayamim Spa Hotel and are glad you enjoyed the farm's produce, the fresh food, spa, service and our varied cultural activities.
We are surprised to hear your feedback regarding the pool, which is cleaned systematically and upholds the highest standards - we check the water several times each day. Having said that, we will certainly look into the matter very seriously.
Regarding your other comment, we take much pride in our appearance, the decor at Mizpe Hayamim does incorporate an eclectic collection of unique antique furniture, carpets and artworks from around the world, and the building has a history we are proud of that's why we have kept the 'old lift', conducting maintenance on its functionality, but allowing the 'look and feel' to remain original - we believe it blends well with the general style of the hotel. As part of our desire to provide a luxurious and pampering experience, we have a modern glass lift (perhaps you didn't come across it?) and all rooms have a plush couch, bath robes and slippers, high quality mattresses with soft white bedding, Mizpe Hayamim scented toiletries, and much more.
We hope that you will visit us again and that we can make your next visit even closer to perfect.

I'll start by saying that we had a discount, and for what we paid, it was definitely worth it. The rooms were pretty and the grounds lovely, and I had a wonderful massage. That being said, the first room we were sent to had A/C that didn't work and they put up a fight before switching us. The bathtub leaked in the second room, but it wasn't really worth fighting at that point. The food, despite the fact that they have an organic farm, lots of stuff made on-site, etc. was only ok (by Israeli standards--by American, fantastic!). Nothing was extraordinary--and we were there for three days. It's a nice place but they're sort of pretending it's more than it is.

Beautiful view, great docoration, nice staff. Very high class. For people who want to feel pampered. The view from the hot tub is absolutely stunning, we could sit there all day long. The food is vegetarian and organic, the dairy profucts are home made. We recomend on having a dinner at the hotel restaurant "Muskat".

My wife and I just finished a glorious 24 hours at this beautiful property in the Rosh Pinna area. After a 2.5 hour drive from Tel Aviv, on arrival we were warmly greeted and given an upgraded room. Dinner in the vegetarian restaurant was absolutely amazing, with a HUGE selection of fresh vegetables, fish, breads, desserts, and nice wines. Our room was was we expected in a rural resort property (don't expect the Four Seasons), and was comfortable and functional.

The grounds are lovely to walk early in the morning, and finding cows, beautiful roses, fruit trees and small streams was a wonderful way to start the day. The early morning walk burned off the calories for a fabulous breakfast. Treatments later in the day were arranged without a problem, even on short notice, and were very relaxing.

Our stay ended with a nice lunch, and a trip to nearby Safed (Zefat), which has a magical old city to wander through. All in all, a wonderful 24 hours at a special place we highly recommend.

My wife and I just spent 2 days at this spa hotel in the northern part of Israel. I am a sophisticated traveler that looks for 5 star hotels when I travel on vacation. I have been to Israel 10 times over the past years and feel that there is not a single excellent hotel in the norther region including Tibereus.

I needed to be in the north for a family event and we booked Mitzpe Hayamin for lack of a better alternative. When I arrived i was extremely disappointed and wanted to change hotels but couldn't find any alternative. I felt stuck and made the management aware that I was unhappy. Here is where the bad changes to good.

The guest relations team headed by Joseph did everything possible to make our stay as good as possible and they extended themselves to a level of customer concern that I have never seen. In the end we had a most pleasant stay in spite of all my misgivings.

Here are the realities (in my view):

The hotel is a health spa that caters to a dedicated clientelle looking for a healthy retreat based on healthy food, exercise, massage, etc. That was not me, but I respect that others seek this out and love this place. People walking around in bathrobes isn't my idea of elegant or fun but that's the reality of the place.

The price includes breakfast and dinner. Both are buffet style and the dinners are non-meat (yes fish) based on kosher standards that are typical in Israel. There is a separate meat restaurant that charges an extra but we did not eat there. The food is just spectacular, excellent. well presented, and all one can hope for. This applies to both the huge Israeli breakfast and the incredible dinner offering. The dining room staff is as excellent as any in Israel.

The decor is very traditional with antique carpets and old style furniture. I personally hate it but most everyone else found it charming. The look and feel of the decor is what immediately turned me off when we checked in and saw the room - I really wanted to run. To me it looked old and dinghy but I was the minority opinion. Just be aware of this if you book here so you are not disappointed. They actually work to create an old fashioned look.

The "swimming pool" is designed to serve the spa community and is basically indoor. It's for exercise and swimming laps indoors, not for escaping the heat, sunning, playing, or for kids. If you are not exercising consider this place as not having a pool.

I spent a lot of time on this review and am giving the place 5 stars based on:

1. The excellent guest relations staff headed by Joseph
2. Outstanding food
3. Lovely setting
4. Lack of anything better in the region.

Just be aware of the decor and swimming pool realities.

Room Tip: Rooms with views are much brighter and nicer
