What a treat to stay at The Artist's Colony Inn in Safed from the beautiful suite which felt like being in a sultan's palace, to the jacuzzi bath filled with bubbles, superb service and deliciously freshly prepared breakfast made by Susan, to the insightfull advice given by the Zehavis about which artists studios to visit. Despite the concern of being in Israel at a difficult time, we would not have missed it for anything. Thank you!!
This is a beautifully designed, delightful, friendly hotel, run by a very helpful , kind family. Wonderful views and very central but Friday & Saturday stays not ideal unless you are orthodox.as everything comes to a standstill (including the removal of rubbish)
A quiet, clean, luxurious, peaceful, relaxing romantic place to stay. Absolutely charming. The hosts are knowledgeable, kind and interesting people who make a wonderful breakfast! The courtyard offers numerous places to sit and eat with wonderful views. There is no better place to stay anywhere in Israel, as far as I'm concerned. And I can't wait to go back and stay there again!
My husband and I came to Sfat to spend Shabbat. We loved the Artists Colony Inn right from the moment we were kindly greeted by staff members.
Our room was absolutely gorgeous! It was so clean and very comfortable.
Danny and Susan the managers were giving, caring and very funny. There were snacks and beverages available all day as well as maps available to view the city.
We felt right at home and 100% recommend this place to everyone!
We are leaving the Artists' Colony Inn tomorrow and already I'm feeling homesick for this lovely place. Our room (the "Lianna") had a private porch, a jacuzzi and a reading loft. The hosts, Susan and Danny, were SO helpful in helping us plan our travels and we had a wonderful day today after following their suggestions. Breakfast is just right and the atmosphere is laid back, picturesque, and comfortable.
Danny and Susan make the most wonderful hosts - thoughtful, caring, but not intrusive. This peaceful little b and b in Tzvat has lovely views of the mountains but is near to the artist's colony and is in the old 'arab quarter', very near the old 'jewish quarter'. I can't say enough about this little inn - the beds were super comfortable, lovely balconies with every room, tasteful and lovely in every way! Very peaceful and personal place to rest and visit Tzvat; have already recommended to other travelers.
