Since the hotel was built long ago piece by piece the layout is very problematic. Getting to the room is via a long maze of multiple stairwells and elevators. The staff is friendly and facilities clean and they seem truly interested in getting feedback. The pool is nice but going there and back isn't trivial. Overall the place is aesthetic but impractical. I think with some creativity better order can be made. One not in reasonable shape I believe would find his or herself leaving the room less than planned only because of the logistics of getting one place or another. It is a nice place with nice views but I believe will need to make some improvements when the official star rating system comes back next year (or two years?) in order to get ****.

Room Tip: Understand from them the way to the room options from reception, pool and restaurant.

We recently stayed at this hotel for one night. The location is great, walking distance to the artist colony . The rooms were decent and clean. However, we witnessed the front desk treat a family with children horribly.. While the lovely family was sorting out the issue, we asked them if we could interrupt and ask the front desk staff for the wifi code. Th staff was so flustered while dealing with the family that an employee turned to the other employee and called my mother in law a nudnik. This was incredibly unprofessional and really turned us off. It was certainly not how we expected to be treated.

The hotel is in a great location and the ambience of the hotel is excellent too. Breakfast was very good.

HOWEVER, instead of repeating a bunch of stuff already on this site about the hotel and its location, I would like to share that the front desk staff and the manager on duty when we checked in were plain and simply just NASTY (I have another term for them, but can't use it on this site). We checked in late at about 9pm with young children. The front desk was not staffed, so the doorman/parking attendant/security guard (who BTW was very professional and courteous) started the check in procedure (passports, tourist form etc). He then called the front desk attendant on his cell phone and was asked to to tell us that they were having dinner and we would have to wait about 20 mins. Really??? I said that we would like to go to the room and get the kids settled and not wait 20mins. Interrupting dinner must have set them off because when they came to the desk they discussed with each other on what to charge us for the kids. They then told us we have to pay an additional exorbitant extra surcharge for the children. The website said that there was a sleeper couch, which I assumed was okay for kids. They said it was their policy to charge the surcharge. I offered to at least pay for breakfast. They said "take it or leave it". I didn't realize i was in a flea market! I couldn't leave it because at that point in time, i would have to pay for the room anyway. They then spoke in Hebrew to each other, which my wife understood some of it (some inappropriate words were used).

Okay, this was my vent. But my main intent is to let you know that if you are traveling with kids to Rimonim hotels to make sure that you know all the fees associated with using the sleeper bed. Hotel cost plus the extra kids fees makes this am extremely expensive option.

This is a beautiful, luxurious hotel! The rooms are big and clean, the air conditioning is strong and the beds are soft. The views are amazing! And the breakfast is indescribable There was so much wonderful food! This was the nicest hotel we stayed in during our trip to Israel. It was in a perfect location - just a 5 minute walk to the artist's colony. My only regret was that we didn't stay longer!

This was my favorite place to stay on my Israeli trip. The walk from the office to our room was so beautiful I did a video. The room was clean, the bathroom big, and the breakfast was awesome, I took a video of it as well. If I ever return to Tzfat you can bet I will be staying here.

Room Tip: Room 13 was not unlucky for me!

This is a first rate hotel. Our luggage immediately hauled by efficient young concierge. The lobby is spacious and welcoming in its bright colors. We are processed rapidly and led off to our rooms. Take note: there are no lifts ,so let mr. muscles do his bit, otherwise "shlepp" your own.
The route to rooms are decorated with wonderful photos of the 70's when the owner dallied with family and celebrities. Our room is beautifully furnished in tasteful colors with a beckoning balcony boasting magnificent hilltop views. Down pillows, very comfortable king size bed and a great bathroom complete with upscale tubes of hair & body essentials. We were on the top deck so it was noiseless. Everything in the room operated as expected. The terrace has a lounging divan and low table, overlooking the magnificent valley and beyond. The hotel boasts a good sized pool, which regretfully was not open at 6.30am...bummer!!. The alcoves and nooks that pepper the outside of the hotel grounds are landscaped, with trees, grass and huge pots of colorful plants. There is a lot of choices in room sizes. Best sleepover in Safed.

Room Tip: Top floor has spectacular views
