There are positives with this hotel. Michael, the manager/owner is charming but clearly has his back up against the wall. The restaurant is now only open for breakfast, and a good one at that. The rooms are comfortable, but need sprucing up. The person at reception most of the time may as well be painted there, she is useless and cannot communicate with most of the guests. There is no information in English about the spa, which surprised the spa operator. The pool is only open from 10am to 6pm, so no swim before breakfast.
I’ll stop here as most of my comments have been covered by other reviewers.
This hotel is expensive, has some charm, but needs to do more to justify the cost. Cue the Hotel Inspector.More
