Hiked to Arbel from Karnei Hittin, and then down to Magdala. The hike was wonderful, the view stupendous, and the National Parks guide at the entrance very friendly and helpful. I guided this hike with a group from Austria in August, and with a temp nearing 40 celsius, we were the only ones on the trail. The National Parks guide made sure everyone had enough water, and offered assistance in case of emergency. I highly recommend this hike.

This is a very easy walk for the whole family and one of our favorite spots in Israel. We always try to stop here when we are in the area. The view and rcokk formations are absolutely stunning. You can also use the clean restrooms, have a picnic or buy and ice cream.

I hiked up from Tiberias, enjoyed the view and the famous Carob tree, and took the black path down to Midgal. Stunning views! This is an inspiring place, to pray like Jesus on the mountain top.

This used to be an off the beaten track hike...a little overgrown, and isolated. It is now a part of the National Park System, and has a very nice reception center and good paths up to the cliffs.
What draws one here is the view of the northern shore of Kinneret. It is unsurpassed. If there are no school buses you will find this to be one of the most peaceful and lovely spots in Israel. Arbel is also part of the "Jesus Trail" with B&Bs in the nearby village and a trail head.

I'm a big fan of Tiberias and the Sea of Galilee so the payment wasn't the issue here. The view is spectacular- one of the best observation point in Israel. Nice hiking and not too hard and amazing weather this time of the year. Don't forget to drink a lot of water and bring a camera!!! Do not miss!!!
