“Sea of Galilee”
Reviewed 27 April 2012

The Ron Beach Hotel is wonderfully situated on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. Rooms all have sea views. There is a good swimming pool. Meals are good self service. I will choose this hotel again.

A 10 minute stroll to downtown, average to slightly better than average rooms, nice pool area, great buffet with good quality food. I think this property is a nice family owned value right on the Sea of Galilee.

My wife and I were here first week of April. We had a suite with a huge bathroom and jacuzzi. The view of the sea from the balcony and living room was great! We were really able to relax after going around Galilee and nearby towns.

The dinner and breakfast buffet had a huge variety to choose from and I was really trying hard to sample everything they but it was just too many.

The receptionist were also very friendly and helpful. They also have a nice lounge that was open till 11, & where you can order coffee, tea, and other beverages aswell.

Too bad we only stayed here for a night and had wanted to extend for another night or two if we were not rushing for something at Tel Aviv.

Room Tip: The suites aew on the corner and is reall value for money as u can get a room facing the sea.

Ron Beach was our base for 3 nights on our pilgrimage. It has almost the prime spot right on the lake front. It's a 1960s long 2 storey hotel, and whilst the communal areas seem a bit dated, everything is spotlessly clean and staff are efficient. Room had good sized double bed, a sofa bed and a small balcony. Drying line in shower was most appreciated for drying some clothes too.

Food buffets for breakfast and dinner are excellent and well stocked. First experience of these "buffet' style dinners, and it was certainly not chaotic in any way. Pool area is clean and peaceful and there is a poolside bar open during the day.

Glorious views across lake, and highly recommend getting up early to watch sunrise !

We have just returned from a McCabe pilgrimage to the Holy Land and the Ron Beach was our base for three nights. The hotel is right on the lake shore and is the last building at the northern end of Tiberias which is otherwise a large and nondescript Israeli resort. However it is an excellent base for visiting the religious locations nearby. We had a ground floor room which was very spacious although the bathroom was small. We had a balcony and views north up the lake. Most comfortable hotel beds that we have had in a long time. Aircon/heating was a little noisy but acceptable. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room which is still rare in continental hotels by our experience. The dining room was downstairs from ground level and had excellent views across the lake. The food can only be described as superb. A vast self service choice for both breakfast and dinner. Several people in our group were cruising folk and they said the food exceeded normal cruise ship quality. Service was excellent all round. A varied wine list, mostly rather expensive but the house red at under £12 a bottle was very good value. Coffee and tea are free in the lounge after dinner. WiFi was available and reasonable at $5 for your stay. It was supposed to work in your room but it didn't in ours.

Without a doubt, the folks at the Ron Beach Hotel in Tiberias, Israel, have become family. I just returned weeks ago from my 14th trip to Israel. Since 1992, my wife and I have been leading groups to the Holy Land. We've stayed in other hotels, but the Ron Beach has been our favorite in all of Israel since 2001. The rooms are spacious and clean. The view from the room of the Sea of Galilee is spectacular. The food is THE BEST in all of Israel. I am pleased to highly recommend this hotel. Its entire staff seeks to accommodate. Why would anyone want to go any place else?

Room Tip: Ask for the second or third floor so that the view of the Sea will be more spectacular.

We stayed here in a group for four nights. We were allocated some tables with UK flags on them, and they added a Scottish one when that particular member of our party mentioned it. (Mind you, there were 8 other nationalities represented in our party!) The service was all very professional and the food wonderful. We had a room facing the lake which meant we could watch the sun rise, and it was very spacious, well serviced and comfortable. There was some noise from musical boat trips in the evening, and also from the bar down below but it all stopped by 11, which we felt was fine. It was too cold to use the pool, but it looked lovely. The lounge facilities are slightly small if the hotel is full and although there was free coffee/tea after dinner in the bar it wasn't all that good so we actually preferred the little packets in the room! We didn't like the bar TV on loudly much of the time in the evenings, either, but one night it wasn't on so maybe we should have asked about it.

These are only little gripes, we'd certainly go back.

Room Tip: Lake view up the top.
