Arrived at the hotel after a really long day travelling and were informed that there was no porter service available and we would therefore have to drag our bags to the room by ourselves. This itself was not a very good start. Got to the room to find it was tiny and had barely enough room to put down two suitcases. No amenities provided i.e. no tea making facilities, no internet, no hair dryer, no iron. Basically nothing in the room apart from an old CRT type TV. Opened the toilet door to find an even smaller toilet. Tiny shower cubicle. Barely 2' x 2'. As we were with a group we had buffet meals organized. Absolutely nothing to write home about. Food was generally tasteless and did not even look appetizing. I would definitely not stay at this hotel again. I did not see a swimming pool or a fitness center so cannot comment on the same. When we checked out we again had to carry our bags down to the lobby ourselves.

Room Tip: I understand that some rooms had a larger toilet with bath. Try and get one of those.

The minimum standard for a stay is clean followed by well situated. Both of these were met but not much else to say. The staff was surly at best, the surrounding area was run down and dirty and we were told where to park by the staff only to find that we had a parking ticket the next morning. The staff argued with us about the situation and reluctantly agreed to pay our ticket. Interestingly enough, there about 10 other cars parked in the same location and we were the only ones to receive a ticket - do you think it is because we had a BUDGET rental car with the name plastered all over it? The lobby was interesting and we were there for 2 nights and found it convenient to our other Sea of Galilee destinations but would not recommend this place for much else.

Room Tip: This hotel is used by tour bus companies and all of the rooms are like a college dormitory experienc...

The review is about the museum, one of the only hotels which is also a museum.Although you can enter in the hotel and look around it, we prefered to take an organised tour. They have tours daily and you have to call to make sure about the hours. The guide had excelent knowledge about the facts and we enjoyed every moment.Especialy is interesting what hapend after the owner decided to name the hotel " Dona Gracia" .I will not tell you so you will enjoy finding out directly from the guide.

We stayed in Dona Gracia hotel for 2 nights, during our tour around the sea of galilee area. this hotel have one of the beautiful Lobby that we ever saw. The decoration is break taking, and you feel like you are entering to a palace. The room was large clean and comfortable. We had a nice and varied Breakfast in the unique dining room. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is 2 minutes from the center of Tiberias and the promenade of the sea of galilee. Will be back to Dona Gracia for sure!!

This is a basic, three star hotel, not far from the Tiberias Promenade. Conveniently located near restaurants, bars, shops and the central bus station the hotel offers clean, comfortable rooms, free wifi in the lobby and a friendly staff.

Great for those who are watching their budget.

This tourist class hotel is situated not far from the promenade and is ideal for those with an eye on their wallets. The hotel boasts an interesting decor reminiscent of 16th century Spain, and highlighting the life of Dona Gracia, a wealthy philanthropist who was a forerunner of the Zionist movement. The small museum, research collection, and fabulous dresses bring to life the story of this courageous woman who persuaded a Sultan to her view.

The rooms were slightly dated and worn, but comfortable and apportioned. Wifi is only available in the lobby, but free of charge. The dining was adequate, but not overly well-presented or extensive. As a budget accommodation, the hotel is more than suitable for those spending a few days in the Galilee.

The staff was helpful and sought to accommodate. Shopping and the Promenade close by.

Recommended for the budget conscious traveler.

Dona Gracia Hotel is in the center of Tiberias. Good and clean rom, good food, but most of all: A friendly atmosphere you seldom find in a hotel. You feel you are part of the family! (And yes: We did visit Naomi Shemers grave!) Toda raba v'lehitraot!
