We don't normally stay in resort hotels as we prefer to be more independent, however when in the Seychelles...
This is a large resort with two sites on two beaches, five excellent restaurants of different cuisines all open to everyone, one with a small surcharge.
We stayed 4 nights so visited 4 of the 5 restaurants, all great - the one where you pay more not necessarily the best!
Drinks (especially wine) can be expensive but is plenty if choice for every budget. Staff are always friendly & no ask is too big.
This was my birthday treat & they took no prompting from my husband to arrange staff to make a fuss with a birthday cake etc! Bedrooms beautiful, modern & spotless on the beachfront, aircon was just right & offered comfort in the heat - spot on!

We stayed here for a week as part of our honeymoon. The location is fabulous and the hotel is lovely. Make use of the leisure cebtre activities the guys there are very friendly and run great activities during the day. Most of the staff were lovely but we met afew who could have been nicer. Also I filled out a questionnaire on return home about our stay but heard nothing back from the hotel even though we had some issues. Look out for Dawson in Sewsala he's fantastic.

The in room tv service had great selections but at night the movies did not stream properly and although we notified the hotel twice nothing was done.
We did not get water everyday and we often had to ring reception to ask for it to be replaced. But waiting on things from reception takes a long time.

We had booked a honeymoon package but the hotel did not acknowledge this. Only for we met another honeymoon couple the day before we were due to leave we would not have received any gifts. Which would have been very disappointing.

We were staying in a ground floor suite which was lovely but we were awoken every morning by moving of furniture or sweeping sound in the suite above us, obviously the cleaners. I feel our room could have been cleaned better. The floor in particular.

The concierge whose name I cannot remember was very pushy about selling products such as the dinner under the stars. His timing for talking to us was never good; Either while we were eating our dinner or having a quiet drink in the bar. While people are eating he should not be going around trying to sell other products.

The prices of drinks and side orders of chips for example were very very expensive. Always ask from a drinks menu if ordering. We paid 10euro for a glass of wine one night.

Finally Lucianna in carosel was the rudest person we met. On our last morning she commented how we'd have to rush to the buffet AS USUAL as we were late and the buffet would be finishing soon. It was 10.15. Breakfast doesn't finish until 10.30 and there was only one other morning that we came to breakfast after ten. If staff do not want people coming down after ten that should be stated that breakfast is until 10.30 but
guests must be seated by 10.

We did have a nice stay but this few issues were the difference of a fantastic stay and an ok stay.

We visited the Seychelles and stayed at the Constance Ephelia for 12 days, the hotel itself was in Mahe and in a glorious setting and we had access to both the beach and several pools. The hotel had 5 restaurants however our favourite was Adam and Eve the Asian restaurant, we ate at this one the most and as it was both mine and my husbands birthday while we were there we visited the Cyann a la carte retaurant twice. Overall the food was expensive and living in Dubai we are used to this but we did hire a car for 3 days and went out and experienced some of the local food and toured the Island visiting the Takamaka rum distillery and eating on Eden Island a few nights which was a beautiful setting (be careful if you hire a car the Island is very very hilly with thin roads and monster blue buses that dont stop for anyone). The resort is quite large and they do provide large golf buggys to ferry you around(they arrive usually at 15 minute intervals) our room was amazing we had one of the Junior suites and there was a bottle of bubbly waiting for us on ice as we arrived, it was a very well located room right next to the beach and not far from one of the pools we couldnt have chosen better ourselves. If you visit Seychelles I would also recommend not only seeing Victoria the capital which is quite easy to see by hiring a car but also visit(by ferry) the beautiful Islands of La Digue and Praslin and drive over the causeway and see Eden Island too. We would definately recommend this resort and would go back again.

The Seychelles is renowned for being expensive and well if your doing it, you've got to do it right! Having looked at reviews and our budget we booked with Seyexclusive in the UK, for 3 nights in Constance and honestly I could have lived there... it was sensational... we had a superior room which was actually nicer than my house... with all the mod cons you could want. The rooms were situated just off the beach, and my word what a beach - its absolutely to die for! Make sure you stay on the north as that's the better beach! Now we knew before booking that the hotels have inflated prices so were well prepared and there were no surprises (well maybe one which was £3 for a bottle of water) but hey! Honestly you pay for quality and my word did they deliver - the food was excellent, the facilities were top notch and I have to say the Staff - WOW! I have never seen such friendly staff anywhere in the world... it was amazing! Smiles all around and extremely friendly... All credit to them - they made the experience even better - oh and love the golf buggies as a means of transport - brilliant. They also have some great pools, walks and giant toitoises on site... The Diving was also very professional and although probably a bit more expensive than local dive schools in town - it is just worth the non hassle factor...

Overall I can't rate this hotel any higher - and if I had the money I would be back tomorrow.

Reviews do seem to also put the 4 seasons up high, and from what I was told it is great, but there is no reason to pay that kind of money when the Constance is this good!

We have just been on our second Seychelle trip, this time island hopping and staying on three beautiful islands, Praslin, La Digue and Mahe, where we had the highlight of our holiday at the Constance Ephelia resort in Mahe, our last stop. We had a once-in-a-lifetime experience staying in one of the Hillside Villas overlooking the North beach, absolutely picturesque! Needless to say, we spent a lot of time in our private rim flow pool and every photo we took was a postcard image. We explored both the South and North beaches, as well as the other beaches in and around the resort. We also went for a diving and snorkelling excursion at Conception Island – a great experience, white tip sharks and all! Although the resort is big, you never had a feeling of too many people around, including on the beaches, as the layout and the various restaurants available, together with the friendly and welcoming staff, made it a much personalised experience. It became clear to us that the philosophy of Constance Ephelia is evident in that the staff truly wish to make a person’s stay there special and memorable. We also had such a great experience having the special Lobster dinner on the beach at Seselwa, excellent food, not to neglect all the other wonderful food experiences we had at the other restaurants! Too much food and variety may be the only complaint ;-)… The Spa also comes highly recommended, we had a couple’s aromatherapy massage and this was one of our best Spa experiences ever! All in all, it was sad to leave but we wish to return some day or to visit one of the other Constance group resorts, all situated in paradise.

Room Tip: Hillside Villas highly recommended!

We spent 5 days here as part of our honeymoon in a Junior Suite. The room was lovely and we have a lovely view of the beach. There are 2 beaches - North (better for watersports) and South where the Junior Suites are based. The hotel is very nicely done and although it is a huge complex ( you need a shuttle buggy to get from one end to the next) you don't really feel like there are crowds of people around.

The spa was amazing!!! would definitely recommend. The fitness centre too was very well equipped.

Food wise - we ate in each of the 5 restaurants as part of our half board package but ended up spending quite a bit on alcohol and extras whilst we were there. Food was generally very good all round especially the haute cuisine restaurant Cyann. Service was efficient but perhaps lacked the friendliness of the other hotel we stayed at.

It was a lovely hotel but be prepared for lots of additional expenses once you are there.
