In a top class resort located between two beaches you can enjoy life, relax and have very nice food selection opportunities. Rooms very very nice and the service second-to-none. Many options for activities or just enjoying the beach, the clear ocean and the palms casting shades if you like that.

Room Tip: All rooms located nicely - no mistakes possible

Although this is a typical place for honeymooners, its actually a perfect place for families - the staff at Ephelia love kids and do the best they can for the little ones so that they are satisfied and happy - and the adults too, of course. We stayed 14 days at Ephelia and we travelled with a 3 year old. With the spa-villa we had booked, they provided us with a baby bath tub, rubber ducks to play with, a potty and even a baby seat on one of the bicycles that comes with the villa. At the north beach (and maybe the south beach too?) you will find a box with lots of sandtoys for children to play with.

The restaurants served excellent food, and of course you can choose from the kids menu for children if you want without extra cost (if you are on half- or fullboard). They have also succeeded making lovely atmosphere at the restaurants, which often is a problem especially when it comes to buffét-restaurants. Our favorite restaurants were Seselwa (thank you Dawson, Deepika and all the other lovely and friendly staff) and Adam & Eve (thank you Georgé and all the hard working chefs at the kitchen). We also enjoyed Italian food at Helios. Cyann is also excellent, but here you must pay supplement fee. Corossol is the biggest restaurant wich also serves excellent food, but because of the size, it becomes a bit impersonal.

The spa villa was lovely and well taken care of by John who was so discrete and immediately found out our daily rytm so that we werent disturbed.

Ephelia has the most wonderful beaches you can imagine, and the invironment is so green and lovely. Strange how such a big hotel with so many guests feel so quiet and not overcrowded at all.

If you really want a vacation of a lifetime, choose Ephelia and go for a villa. You will then be taken care of by a villa host who will arrange everething for you during your stay and more. Thank you so much, Menaka, for your excellent service and all your effort to make us happy. You did an excellent job and raised this vacation up to a higher level.

We booked the Constance Ephelia as our friends had booked their wedding at this venue and we wanted to go and share the experience with them.

I have never been to a holiday venue like the Seychelles before, so really did not know what to expect I came onto Trip Advisor to read the reviews of the Constance Ephelia which were a bit mixed, with a number of negative comments about the fact that the resort was so big and that the transport around the venue which is provided by golf buggies was very inefficient. Well, let me deal with that one first.... Firstly, the venue is not so big that you cannot walk around. We were on the north side and we had some friends who came who were on the South side, and it literally took no more then 10-15 mins to walk from one side to the other. However, if you would prefer to take a buggy, we never had to wait more than 5 mins for one to come along. If you start walking they will often stop and pick you up on route if you want to, or they will go to the designated stops every few minutes - really not an issue at all, infact we quite liked the buggies.

The staff were really helpful, nothing could be too much trouble for them. They were very friendly, they remembered our names most of the time, and they were all very happy to please.

We originally booked a junior suite, however, when we arrived the room was not ready and as we were on a different side to our friends (they were in a senior suite on the North) we paid an upgrade fee to be closer to our friends. This was a fairly substantial cost, and looking back I would not recommend doing this. Later in the week another set of friends arrived and they were in a junior suite on the South Side and I have to say, although our room was slightly bigger, I would say that the room upgrade price was not worth it, I would rather have spent my money on extras whilst we were there.

The food a the hotel was fab, and I would highly recommend the Corossol restaurant for the evening meal as the choice is fantastic. This is the only restaurant you do not need to book and we tried all of them, but still found this one the best for choice.

The only down side we could say about the hotel was the drinks and extras were VERY expensive. A bottle of wine with dinner was at least £45 for the cheapest.... !!! Beer was £6 for 330ml can..... A little over priced I think.

Room Tip: I did not think that the difference in price between a junior and senior suite was worth it... go fo...

This hotel is based in a beautiful location, over the other side of Mahe island which is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel occupies 2 beaches facing different directions, allowing the choice, depending on wind direction and weather. They are also very different, one being much more private and quiet, the other having more going on. You can walk out to an island at low tide from the south beach, but we would recommend water shoes as it can be rocky in places. There are several swimming pools, plenty of sun loungers and great restaurants to choose from.
HOWEVER, being half board, all the extras are VERY expensive. Drinks all day and with supper were well over priced and make sure you aren't caught out by the A la Carte restaurant prices! The extra 400 Rupees are actually a credit, off the final bill not an additional supplement to eat there, as it suggests.
Overall, a lovely hotel where we had a very happy honeymoon (regardless of counting the pennies and not being able to quite relax because being aware about how much you are spending to enjoy yourselves and unwind fully.)
Good tip, if you order drinks from the bar or pool side, you can request crisps which are free! (this is how we got round lunch!)
If it was all inclusive at the same upfront payment price, we would certainly go back!

Room Tip: Depends what kind of holiday you look for. Junior Suites were all on the south side which was the qu...

The larger rooms are very comfortable due to effective central cooling and a great bathroom. All staff members were super friendly and efficient, even when asked some out-of-the ordinary request such as washing milk bottles, freezing and heating baby food and preparing a surprise birthday cake. They did miss some of the finer details one would expect a 5-star establishment to get, such as providing pillows for all guests at least after having requested twice. At last they got the 5-star pricing right.

Location, room and scenery fantastic. Getting to/from the hotel is at your own expense of 100euros if booked with the hotel. A local taxi is far cheaper but then you'd expect a resort of this star rating would have complimentary shuttle service. The staff lack personality and every thing they do is by the guide book they are trained to deliver and do not deter from. Food is fantastic although be prepared for continual interruptions from all serving staff on a regular basis asking how your meal is. Watch for pricing which can be confusing. The local currency if rupees which sometimes they quote and other times quotes are in euro. If I were to come to the Seychelles again I'd try another hotel
