After having eaten at Julien's for five or six times the last four years and considered ourselves as fixed clients, (we used to go eat there basically for the splendi beach view and not for the overspiced and overprized curry and fish ), we thought we would be spared from his rage towards tourists, which we could witness litterally every time that we ate there.

We were wrong!

Last week he flipped out again, screaming at us because we dared add two chairs for our children to the table the waitor asked us to sit. When I told him that it was the waitor who placed us to that table, and we needed two more chairs he screamd ever louder and told us that the waitor meant another table (which was at the time still occupied) and we had to wait until it's free.Needless to say, all the clients had stopped eating and were staring at us!
We left immedialty. having him screaming behind us: " You're leaving? Fine! Put your money in your...pocket!"

NEVERMORE!

“People don't lie!”
Reviewed 23 December 2013 via mobile

We went there late in the afternoon for a swim and some food. The beach is great and the restaurant has a good view. The food was fine, but overpriced...however, the owner of the place is something else. While he was ok with us he was extremely rude to two other groups of people. He seemed to have serious issues with people who didn't speak French...I would not go back there...

“One in, one out.”
Reviewed 1 December 2013

We popped down here for lunch one day, and found it full... that didn't stop us being put at a table in the corner for a few minutes until one at the balcony-front was freed up and we were kindly moved there.

Parking was "fun", on a busy, steep hill with little room to manoeuvre, but perfectly possible.

The ambience is best described as "bustling", with a nice view over the beach and bay having a predictable effect on demand.

The food was good, but that's about it... we had a mis-ordered chicken Seychellois curry, and a seafood curry, and both were very tasty if a little pricey at approximately 15GBP each. That said, food in the Seychelles is typically expensive, so this wasn't out of the ordinary or unexpected.

“Madhouse”
Reviewed 24 November 2013

Haven't even eaten here.
We were parking the car when the owner of the restaurant came out screaming and shouting. Extremely rude and unpleasant.
Such a pity because he has a nice balcony right on top of one of the most beautiful beaches of the island! We would have stopped for lunch but the guy was so out of him mind that we decided not to spend money there.
Watch where you park!
