Tre hotel is Very beautiful and very quiet. the staff is helpful especially the owner Flora. There is a nice garden and a swimming pool where you can take sun during the day!. The breakfast is not so rich but good and fresh. In the evening you can enjoy excellent plates prepared by chef, I suggest you also the take way ,they cook good food to eat on the paradise beach. The Superior rooms are very spacious and clean! if you want to spend a relaxing week and without great pretensions here is the place for you!enjoy your vacation!

The Sun Resort has seen better days but was clean, spacious and everything worked. The staff are friendly and the grounds and pool tidy. We loved the Mango tree full of fruit bats.

Beau Vallon beach is very close by with a great dive centre ( Sechelles Underwater Centre - based at the Berjaya Hotel).

The pizza/burger takeaway section of the hotel was very popular with the locals and a good alternative to restaurant food.

Ok there are more plush hotels on Mahe but we wanted to stretch our budget and Island hop rather than using hotel facilities all day. Have rated as very good as it lived up to expectations and in fact was better than expected. Food average but we hired a car and also ate out during our stay. There are good places within walking distance.

Room Tip: Some rooms have car spaces outside. If you do want to stay in the hotel get a room overlooking the p...

We have just completed a wonderful 18 night honeymoon on four islands in the Seychelles. This hotel was a one night stop before our early morning international flight. The room was musty and old looking and in serious need of updating. The shower curtain was brown with mildew. The worst part of it was that there was no running water for most of the day, which is just unacceptable in a country that leaves you so hot and sticky most of the time. A bucket was provided to collect water during the hours that it was switched back on! Luckily we were only there less than 24 hours, but we won't be rushing back!

We stayed at the Sun Resort for eight nights, and it's a place we'd highly recommend.

The singly down side was that some of the staff seemed to lack confidence in how they handled guests (maybe some customer care training would help). They were never rude but seemed reluctant to smile and engage with guests.

We stayed in a self catering apartment which had a good size bedroom, separate living room, and small kitchen area. The facilities had all we needed - TV, balcony, fridge, and a great shower !

The location was quiet, with little or no noise from neighbouring properties. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach (Beau Vallon) which was very good if that's what you wanted from your holiday.

Breakfast is available with a good selectipon - fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, bacon. There is also a reasonable dinner menu, the price of which, when comapred to other local hotels/ restaurants. is not expensive with good quality cooking.

There is a nice size swimming pool whch tended not be used by guests during daytime (mainly 'cos they were at the beach or sight-seeing).

A taxi from the Airport will set you back aroung 50 Euros. If you wanted to see the rest of the island then car hire will cost around 45 Euros - the hotel staff will hep arrange this for you.

We'd have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

We stayed here for two nights before heading off to Praslin.

The hotel is in a very good location, a few minutes walk to Beau Vallon Beach with a number of good restaurants and a small supermarket nearby.

The rooms were spacious and clean and it was nice to have a small kitchen if only for the fridge and tea and coffee facilities.

The shower was very good and the aircon worked very well.

The pool and surrounding area was also very well maintained and although we didnt use the pool, it looked lovely.

We did eat at the hotel restaurant one evening and the food was good although not fantastic. We ate at the boat house on the second evening which is highly recommended.

We hired a car from the hotel for a couple of days and got a very good rate so I would recommend doing this. Driving around Mahe is easy although a bit scary driving through the narrow, curving mountain roads but it is worth it to see some of the other beaches. We also drove into Victoria one evening for food which surprisingly for a Saturday night was very very quiet.

The staff were o.k, not overally friendly but service was generally good.

Breakfast was also reasonable with a choice of cooked eggs (sometimes bacon too!) with tea, coffee and pastries.

Given the cost of some of the larger hotels, I would recommend this hotel as a cheaper alternative; it has everything you need for your stay in Mahe without the high costs of some of the 5* hotels.
