Anse Lazio Beach has talcum powder white sand and the sea has the most amazing shade of azure blue you can ever imagine ! Anse Lazio is a small cove with a 400-metre beach fringed with huge takamaka trees while granite boulders at either end. In my eyes , it has to be among the top 5 beaches in the world . It is easy to get there , and there is even a restaurant right next to the beach .

Anse Lazio is the best beach on Praslin and one of the best anywhere in the world. You would be remiss to visit Praslin and not visit Anse Lazio. The water is a beautiful hue of blue, the granite boulders at either end are picturesque and fun to climb, the sand is powdery and soft, and shade abounds thanks to abundant tree cover. There are two restaurants adjacent to the beach, although neither can fairly be described as inexpensive.

To get there, you can take a bus for ScR 5 per person each way. Be prepared for a relatively steep, albeit fairly brief, 10-15 minute hike from where the bus drops you off to the beach; the reward for the exercise is a truly picturesque, world-class beach that is delightfully uncrowded.

The beach is just beath taking. The sand is the nicest powder ever seen. You can walk out in the water as far as possible and still see your feet and fish. The snorkeling around the rocks is fantastic. Even the restraunts, though a little pricey, are excellant.

Beach is very good for swimming and sunbaking.
One of 2 places in the seychelles where I saw giant tortoise, the other being La Digue Union Estate.
There are 2 restaurants at either end of the beach. The first is BonBon Plume to the right of the main car park. The food looked OK and the location was almost on the beach, very nice.
The other was Le Chavalier at the left end of the beach, which is where we went because they had more variety in the menu. It is set back from the beach and not as nice as the BonBon Plume, but the food is excellent. We had fish and chips and a beef burger made from australian beef which was also very very good. As with a lot of the seychelles, it was almost impossible to get a smile out of the local waitress (they might not pay her well??) but we had gone for so long without quality food that we didn't care.
My only complaint was that it is only open until 4pm, so we couldn't go there for dinner as well.

Visited Anse Lazio in Feb 2008 and the sea was really rough.
Nice that there was turtles to look at for the children and the restaurant there was nice. Our teenagers enjoyed the huge waves but papa had to forget his snorkeling! : )
