“Drugs and Booty”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 January 2012

As a future law enforcement agent, I had the pleasant pleasure of staying over one night. I had one night there and that was enough for me. I smoke so I obviously was given a smoking room. I went to the bathroom and there was burn marks on the side of the bathtub next to the toilet as previous motel users sat on the toilet and just left their cigarettes to burn as they wiped their tooshies. I found old Chinese food under the bed, along with dirty cups and the comforters on the bed were covered in unwashed crusty stains. So I continued with my evening and every other door had marijuana burrowing out of the doors. The woman that was cleaning rooms at night told me that I should stay in my room once it gets late and that I should park my car in the front of the motel due to robberies and tire slashings. I witnessed about 20 drugs deals within a 2 hour period. Where are the police officers and why is this allowed to happen? I went to bed early and had trouble sleeping like any normal person would staying at a place like this. I was rudely woken up at 4:00 a.m. by this obnoxious woman laughing in the room next to me. I heard a man but she was louder than ever just laughing and laughing. Then the porno began and last about 2 minutes. She then said "What was your name again" and I heard the door slam. Not to mention the new girl at the front desk told me that there are a lot of hookers that come in and out. Now think about the crusty stains all over my comforter. Howwwwwww Nicccccccceeeeee. Stay here if you need a quick fix or quickie if you know what I mean. Its a modern day brothel, unpatrolled, unbothered, and down right NASTY!!!!!!!!! But hey its cheap.

Room Tip: Like I said, go there if you are a junkie or a horny old man.

Stayed here for two nights in August 2011 and although it was hardly five star, had a perfectly pleasant stay. The hotel lobby is basic and fine and the staff were pleasant enough upon check in and out. The staircases and hallways are a little dated but clean and nice enough.

The room was very spacious and the bed was huge which was great! Good TV and nice enough, basic bathroom. Nothing about the room was fantastic except the size of the bed and nothing was bad either. Bog standard hotel room which was excellent for the price. Right across the street from the more expensive Ramada which I stayed in the previous week and I would say it is almost at the same standard. I would recommend.

Every year I take a road trip with my dog and need a place to stay around Albany. Motel 6 allows dogs and I've chosen to stay here. I was surprised to read the negative reviews. As someone who travels a ton, I guess I don't have high expectations for a motel 6, but assume I'll get a clean no frills stay.
I've always found the staff to be friendly and appreciate the low cost wireless internet access. I do agree with the other reviewers that the motel doesn't feel like it's in the safest part of town. However, the parking lot is well lit and I've never had any problems.
I'd recommend ordering in. There's a great pizza place nearby called something like Molly's Pizza.

Room Tip: If you're concerned about safety stay on the second floor. Rooms on the 1st floor all have slidi...

We booked this hotel on our way to visit Hamilton College. Although we needed sleeping accomodations for a party of three, we were given one king bed. The woman at the reservation desk was rude, but after some light conversation, she loosened up. Our room was changed.
It was a last minute decision and we booked through priceline. The money we paid was not much and I was relieved. The room was clean but needed updating desperately.

Me and my Partner were travelling from Niagara to New York. We were getting rather tired so we decided to pull over and stay at the Motel 6.

OK, it was a cheap enough night, but considering what you got not really worth it. The room itself was OK. It was basic but clean. However, the rest of the hotel was rather dingy and smelly. It wasn't in a particularly nice area of town either and the residents at the hotel weren't the most trust inducing individuals!! Part of the hotel was cordened off with police tape!!

It's not very often I feel unsafe, but I did here. The staff weren't particularly helpful or friendly either.

I definetely will not be staying at that particular Motel 6 again!!

Room Tip: Don't do it!!

The parking lot was like swiss cheese. The check in person was helpful recommending a good pizza place to order from. When I got to the room, the sign outside said no smoking, but the hallway stunk of cigarette smoke. The room had an ashtray and the comforter had cigarette burn holes in it. The room itself was clean. Smelled okay. I sat on the bed and felt it sink. I thought it was just the one bed, but both beds had broken springs it . One side of one of the beds had support. It was late and I didn' t have the energy to switch rooms etc.

The next morning when I checked out, the lady asked if everything was okay, I told her both beds were broken. She seemed surprised, but was on the phone. Asked me to hold on. Five minutes later, i was going to be late for my meeting. She was in another room, so I had to leave. Nothing was resolved.
