The location at 25 Chapel Street is near lots of dining options and the downtown. If you're not averse to walking up a few hills, you can save the $6 cab fare, but walking back to the hotel from the downtown buildings is much more pleasant!

My hotel room is a very spacious: an L-shape, with a kitchenette with microwave and mini-fridge, table and two chairs, and a side chair with visible stains on the seat! :(, sofa, coffee table leading to a dresser with a huge screen TV on a swivel to face either den/kitchen area, or the large very comfortable and clean king-size bed.

This hotel has a separate "ladies-only" floor with restricted access for those of us females traveling alone, and provides lots of added amenities, like fresh fruit, cereal bars, bottled water, and coffee 24 hours a day in the elevator lobby. There's also a "relaxation room" that can be reserved (I haven't had a chance to try that yet).

The biggest negatives about the room are in the bathroom area. The counter is large enough for my toiletries and stuff, but below the sink is open shelving and no drawers. The door to the toilet/tub room is very wide (probably handicap accessible), but very near the toilet itself when opened. There's also a light that stays on constantly below the toilet paper roll, which is fine if you want a night-light, but irritating for those of us who like to sleep in total darkness (just close the bathroom door and it's fine). The closet is large enough and the staff brought the extra hangers I needed for a 5 night stay, but the opening is only half wide with the other half hidden behind the wall. There's a wall mirror for magnification purposes, but too small to actually see the back of your head using the mirrored closet door. The A/C is rather loud when it kicks on, but I can sleep through anything and it didn't bother me.

Overall, for comfort, size and location, I would stay here again (just don't sit on the side chair!)

Room Tip: Definitely request the Empire Floor if a female traveling alone!

From the moment I walked in the lobby, I was greeted with some of the beat hotel staff I had seen in years. From the works, the valet attendants, and Managment, everyone treated me like a values guest. The room was comfortable and clean. The food at the resturant attached to the hotel was amazing as well. I definitely recommend a stay here for business or pleasure.

I have stayed here several times. The staff is extremely accommodating. The breakfast is ok. Unfortunately, the restaurant attached to the hotel is not open on Monday nights. If you are a woman, I recommend staying on the Empire Floor--it is nice to have the extra perks. The location is great.

Unfortunately, this past stay, I saw a cockroach in my bathroom. The front desk staff did not seem to care about this and did not offer anything for a loyal Hilton Honors customer.

Saw a show at the Egg, which was minutes away. Dined at the Hotel restaurant, which had a very comprehensive menue, from hamburgers to full entrees. I would stay there agian , and recommend it to family and friends visiting from out of town.

This Hampton is attractive and clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The staff is very helpful and the complimentary breakfast is fresh and offers a good selection. There is parking on the premises and the hotel is within walking distance of the Capitol. They also have a special "women's only" floor, which is very nice for women who are in town on their own for the night.
