Conveniently located within close walking distance to great shopping, restaurants, subway, and area (Yongdusan-Jagalchi) sites. The rooms were large, clean and affordable.

We (3) were happy we chose to stay at the Elysee Motel because of the convenient location and price. The rooms are large, clean and provide free internet (PC provided). The beds were regular king size and the air conditioning blew cold. The bathrooms are large with a whirlpool tub, separate shower and best of all have a steam room setting. This was very helpful in getting out those wrinkles in our clothes that were packed away in the suit case - in addition to enjoying the steam amenity itself!

The Elysee is centrally located in the Yongdusan-Jagalchi area. All within close walking distance is great shopping at many different locations and types of stores. from the large Gukje Street Market to the Nampo Underground Shopping Center in the subway, to the PIFF Square shopping area to the Lotte Department Store.

We were within close walking distance to all kinds of restaurants from traditional Korean foods to western foods to the Jagalchi fish Market. Yongdusna Park is "up the stairs" right next to the Elysee Motel. Close by is Busan Meteorological Observatory, Busan Sports Park, Democracy Park, Jungang Park and Sumireu Park. Again, all within close walking distance from the Elysee Motel.

The subway system is within close walking distance, it's easy and convenient to use, it's inexpensive and clean. The subway allowed us to plan day trips to other areas of Busan. Taxi cabs are plentiful and cheap for the Yongdusan-Jagalchi area. Although we did get one taxi driver who thought he was a professional race car driver.

We stayed at the Elysee, took the subway to the Busan Central Station and boarded the KTX Train (bullet) to the Seoul Central Station and arrived in 2 hours and 36 minutes. We came back to Busan on the KTX and stayed at the Elysee in simular rooms. We each slept comfortably and had a good night's sleep. The Elysee is a motel or what is commonly referred to in Korea as a "love motel." The Elysee owner was friendly and helpful.

Shopping at the Gukje Street Market is better and cheaper than any street market you will find in Seoul. The market is located on the opposite side of Yongdusan Park and the opposite side from the Elysee Motel - above PIFF Square. All conveniently located with in close walking distance from the Elysee.

i stayed in a doouble room with my mum for 2 nights. a pretty good stay!

before the trip, the owner had emailed me detailed instructions on how to get to the hotel. it's really easy to find if you follow his directions. and oh, and the owner speaks real good english too! the hotel is 5min walk away from the subway, on a hill. the lobby is on the 2F tho, so take the lift up. after we checked in, we asked him for suggestions on sightseeing etc, and he was really nice and helpful !

room: i liked it. it's really meant for lovers, with a cool (to me), but cheesy (to my mum) picture of sme fish on the ceiling above the bed. the bathroom was big, and had a lil sauna which i didnt have time to use. the room was quite spacious. had a hot and cold water dispenser but somehow i didnt really feel it was safe to drink the water from it. bed was clean. air con was strong. the tv had many channels, even an *ahem* channel hahaha. they even had a mini fridge with complementary drinks which they replace if u finish. clean towels, shampoo, shower gel provided. lighting was a lil low, but oh well, it's meant for lovers, so what can i say haha. no major complaints! they even gave us a pack of toiletries.

DVDs of X rated content is available on every floor. there's a shelf of it near the lift. but i dont know if it's free or not lol. actually u cant really tell that its a love motel, unless u really scrutinise the hotel very closely. i had expected the X rated stuff to be available more prominently. fortunately, it was not haha.

location: really near to the major attractions: PIFF sq, the 2 markets (forgot their names), busan tower (walking distance). i recommend this place if u dont want to stay near haeundae beach which is really out of the way

Room Tip: try asking for a room with more interesting decor

Yeah, it's a love motel so you get a room with some special touches. Like a hot tub and a sauna in your shower. And when you turn the lights off then there are glow in the dark scenes in the ceiling. It's a little cheesy but it's clean and has every product you might need including shampoo, hairspray, lotions, etc. The owner is incredibly nice. When we were leaving it was raining so he gave us umbrellas to take with us. The room we got was a double en-suite and was priced decently for the accommodations provided.

After some initial doubts after reading a few mixed reviews we found the Elysee Motel to be fantastic. The owner emailed maps and directions in Korean & English making it easy to get from the KTX station to the motel. Our room was clean and comfortable, came with a steam shower/sauna and spa, flat screen TV, DVD player, video and computer with internet access. The owner gave us a quick rundown on how to use all the gadgets in the room and provided some great ideas on where to eat and drink, not that there is a lack of places! Although a 'love motel' we didn't see or hear anyone in the 5 nights we stayed. Location is great, walking distance to everything you need, food, drink, shopping, markets and transport. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to visit Busan and stay at the Elysee again.

My husband and I arrived in Elysee motel expecting a room with a bedroom and a shower but we got a whole galaxy master bedroom. We loved the glow in the dark milky way on the ceiling of our bed. The bathroom was even better. There was a tub, fancy shower and a little sauna which we made full use of since it was winter. The location was great too. Busan tower was right in the backyard and shopping was just a walking distance away. The manager, Mr Son, was really of great help. He speak great English and also gave us great directions. He also gave me great kimchi making tips! He recommended us a seafood restaurant near the jagalchi market and the food was fantastic. It was value for money. We will definitely stay in Elysee motel if we go to Busan again!

Ignore the fact that this motel (like so many others in Pusan) can be rented by the hour. The owners are super friendly and helpful - even gave us an umbrella when it started raining as we were checking out. Its in a great spot: under the Pusan tower, a short stroll to the new Lotte, and the night markets, PIFF square, and Jagalchi fish market. Free wireless internet in the room was a great bonus, and we always slept well thanks to good heating / cooling and soundproof firedoors. Rooms really are good value for money. Definitely recommend this place and all its unique charms for a value stay in Pusan.
