Elysee Hotel is the best hotel to choose if you are 1st time traveler to Busan, South Korea for the ff reasons:
1. Hotel owner speaks very good English. (I had a chance to chat with him and he told me he studied English in the Philippines) Language barrier is really one factor to consider. South Korea is not an English country so staying in a hotel where front desk or owner with good English for easier communication is a must. I had 1 minutes conversation with him on my first day and hand me over a MAP of Busan. He mark all the attractions to visit and the nearby Subway for us to walk from the hotel. Very pleasant experience. Thanks SON! (He's name is Son)
2. The location is just so perfect. Its just 5minutes walk to Busan Tower. In fact its located right in the foot of the Yongdusan Park. Also walking distance to the subway station about 10mins. And very close to convenient stores. I am very satisfied with the location.
3. Cheap hotel rates. I paid about 45.00 USD per night. It has a big hot tub, the bed size is ok. It has big flat screen tv, with Computer to use and free internet access. It has cable TV but mostly Korean local shows.

Its near the subway, restaurants and KTX. It was not difficult for us to find this hotel from the airport. However, its quite hard to commute using the subway so I suggest you take the taxi which will cost about 10,000 Won. The room is very nice. It has everything you need. Really big TV and all the toiletries you need.I love the bathroom - it has a bathtub, sauna and nice shower. The owners of the motel are very nice and helpful.

Hi I have never done reviews before. I just thought that Elysee Motel deserves this review. It was a very pleasant stay in Elysee Motel. First thing, the location was absolutely perfect. It was 30 steps away from Yongdusan Park, one of the major tourist spots in Busan. It was all walking distance from the Jagalchi market, BIFF, Gukje, Lotte Gwangbok branch. It was a 5-minute walk to the Nampo-dong subway station. In the room was a very big flatscreen TV, free drinking water dispenser, 2 free canned juices in the ref, 2 free coffee, 2 free tea per day. The room was very clean. The bath was clean too. The only weird thing I saw was that the drain of the shower goes to the drain in front of the sink. The shower had no drain of its own. But that's really a minor thing. The best asset of Elysee is Mr. Son. He is very kind and helpful. We chatted about several things and he has the time to entertain very makulit guests like me.

Hmm I quite satisfied with this motel. Good stuff - Everything like others said.
But I do agree that the room pretty outdated and the wifi signal pretty poor.
I would suggest this motel to 1st timer to S.K, cos 99% of Korean don't speak english. So to be able to secure a room online is very good n so much less frustrated! Oooh d owner's English is definitely very good n nice cos b4 I came, he did explain to me in lengthy email on what transport option I have from Gyeongju.

After reading the reviews here, I was looking forward to staying in my first 'love motel', and I wasn't disappointed. As everyone else has pointed out, the Manager speaks great English, and just ask him and he'll whip the map out and start circling things to see and do. Rooms were as expected, nice big queen-size bed, huge LCD tv and the pre-requisite PC in the room. I am going to put this on all of my reviews of love motels - they aren't for kids. The tv channels have porn on them, as does the computers. It is a love motel after all!

The owner is very helpful and speaks good English. He mails you a good descrption to find the place. It will be a 6-7 min. walk a bit uphill from the metro station, directly at the park (with the tower). Spacious rooms with AC, fridge, large TV with free films to choose from, large bathroom with steam cabin or whirlpool-like bathtub. Shampoo, towels etc are provided. Hot/Cold drinking water in the room with free coffee powder, tea, I had two types of soda cans for free as well. The bed is large and has a "star" roof - for romantic couples. Location is at the park and the Jagalchi fish market and the main shopping area are very close to walk to. To the famous beaches you have to take the metro (about 50 min.) From the airport it is with the bus + metro about an hour. To go to Beomeosa you need the metro as well, it is 50 min. So you are in one of the nice areas and will get to all the places with the metro.

After visiting hostels and paying nearly the same for a single room, I loved the space and own nice restroom, had even two chairs and a desk. It was clean and quiet (double door).

First, let's deal with the plus points:

1. The motel is in a great location, close to Busan Tower, the city centre shops, Lotte Town department store, ferry terminal and fish markets. Plus it's only a few minutes walk from Nampo subway station which is only 2 stops from Busan Station.

2. Unless you can understand Korean, it is pretty difficult to book a motel in advance. There are a lot of modern, comfortable motels in Busan, but if you're a first time visitor, you're unlikely to know where to go to find them, the language barrier may be a bit daunting, plus you may want the reassurance of having somewhere to sleep booked in advance. The Elysee is very easy to book through its English language website.

3. The owner/manager of the motel speaks great English.

Now the minuses...

1. I mentioned the many comfortable, modern love motels in Busan - well, this is not one of them! Sadly, our deluxe room was dated and the furniture was shabby. The worst thing was the depiction of an aquarium on the ceiling which glowed in the dark revealing a number of stains on the mattress cover, it was like an episode of CSI!

2. Many reviews have mentioned "value for money", yet I've stayed in nicer motels for the same price.

If you are a first time visitor to Busan/Korea and/or want the security of easily being able to book a room in advance, then I'm sure the Elysee will meet your needs. If you're feeling a bit braver, just turn up in an area with plenty of motels (eg Haeundae or Gwanganli beach) and have a wander round; there are many many love motels around. I've stayed in a couple in Haeundae which we just turned up and managed to book a room which were far nicer than the Elysee (and were the same price)!
