A quaint sort of hotel that is literally steps away from Busan station, (walk out the front and it's on your right).
The rooms are quite small but clean and comfortable. The rooms could do with some reconfiguration so that they are better laid out.
The hotel is quiet given its location and it is also just a short walk to the subway and buses, also lots of restaurants.
Keep an eye out for the Hawk that seems to fly in at around the same time to pick off a few pigeons from the station square!

The hotel has been refurbished since we last stayed here. Rooms are small but bright, clean and beds are soft. It's location beside the KTX Busan Station is its best feature. Staff are pleasant and helpful. For the guys there is a 24hour male suana on 3rd floor, just ask for a voucher when you check in.

Room tip: Get a free coupon for male sauna when you check in

You won't be unhappy if you stay here I think.

Staff were actually very friendly, probably the best I have seen in Korea, but that isn't saying much.

Room is clean and fair sized. This is BANG ON next to the train station, but isn't noisy or anything. Lots of restaurants and cafes in the area, internet place next door, free internet on all floors.

A small renovation combined with minimal price drop would make this place THE PLACE to stay in Busan, but its really a decent option.

My wife and I spent one night at this hotel in July 2011. It was simply terrible. Everything is old. Tap water was brown. I thought that if I make water to run we would get clear water, but then water from the bath started coming out and flooded the bathroom. I usually do not trust reviews of people who complain about staff (because both parts probably share responsibility) but staff at this hotel was really rude. In addition, on floor 3 there was a "men's massage room". The good things: it is very well located, just by the train station, and even though everything is old, the room was cleaned. By the way, we use Agoda to make a reservation, but their price was more expensive than the price at the hotel itself.

This hotel is few steps away from Busan train station. From the exit of the station, you can already see to your right a building with big letters of Hotel Gwang Jang.
Good points:
- There is a restaurant/cafe on the hotel lobby
- Restaurants and convenience store just nearby the hotel. some few steps away.
- Center of the city
- Near the Busan train station and Busan subway station (which you need to ride going to the different parts of Busan)
- Value is very good especially to budget travelers
- Didn't have any complaints to the hotel except for just an old interior. The rest is okay even the bed and blanket :)
- There's unlimited taxi outside the hotel.
Tips:
- To go to the city subway station: across the Busan train station is a big plaza with water fountain show, find the underground entrance to the subway.
- There are some small international restos across the main street. If I'm not mistaken, it's called "market for foreigners", but not much people going there.
- Go to IBK (International bank of korea) to exchange foreign currency. It is also across the main street. Just ahead of Paris Baguette bakery and Lotteria (local fastfood chain).
- Try the Korean restos in the Busan Train Station. Especially the one located near on of the exits, it is in front of Story way convenience store, "the bigger one" because there are two convenience stores there.

Room tip: Book from Agoda.com.
