The beach is quite ordinary and crowded maybe it was summer. Go further away from the beach and walk uphill and along the sea coast. The sea view is stunning. Really enjoy it.

Big sand beach, nice small park, side walking along the beach is very nice but in high season too many tourists. The water is not warm, often the waves are too big and stormy weather didn't allow to swim and get inti the sea unfortunately. Nice place with many people during the day and in the evening. Across the road there is a nice hotel Haeundae Grand. Hotel with largest 50 meter long Olympic size swimming pool in the city with Golf-Club, and nice open-air terraces on the 6th floor for beer and shashlyk and chebureki with awesome view on the sea and with live music in addition to all the above. Very nice place for dinner in the evening at very reasonable price. A lot of entertainment is going on on the beach: music and dance festivals, sea and water activity festival, everyday live entertainments, etc.

We are not really beach people, but stopped here with our son to build a sand castle and regularly walked along the beachfront. The beach is laid out in different sections including one called sand experience with a giant sand hill on it. The beach was really clean and there was loads going on. I agree with the views of other reviewers though - we went one weekend and it was heaving!! However, weekdays it was generally very nice. The area was very loud though and I probably would not want to stay here in terms of hotel accommodation.

There were hundreds of sun umbrellas. Nothing natural about the beach. The water looked clean, but was too cold for me to venture in. Nothing like the beautiful beaches of my home. Lots of shops and restaurants across the road.
I wouldn't stay there, as it is too touristy for me, although the targets are Korean tourists, not foreigners, so no more English spoken here than other parts of Busan

Thank Laj S
