Although this hotel's traffic is great but the service there is bad.
Because the staff's English is't very well.

We flew directly to Busan as we stayed many times in Seoul and thought we took advantage to see other parts of Korea as well.
What a disaster. The hotel's web page looked just fine, no luxury...and we only needed a hotel for 2 nights before heading to Seoul. And the price was low!
From the moment we saw the building we knew we made a mistake, but there was no way back.
I would rather not review the common areas, the room or the bathroom...Definitely the worst hotel experience ever!
Would rather sleep on the train station!
If you travel to Busan make sure staying at one of the beach hotels which offer international standards!

Hotel is located 5-7 minute walking from the subway station. Old hotel which needs renovation. No restaurant, only coffee-shop in the lobby.
The room is bright and big, TV, free LAN, mini-bar. No safe, no kettle. Old furniture.
The bathroom is OK.
Overall it was great value for money. In fact 2 star hotel.

As a four-star hotel, it is poor in comparison to hotels like IBIS and others. The owner has sadly neglected its upkeep. It is very outdated. Furthermore, there is no restaurant to speak of. Breakfast is served on an individual plate. You're far better off eating breakfast at McDonald's.

Room Tip: Until such time as the owner decides to pull his head out of the sand, choose another hotel.

We live in Seoul, South Korea and often visit Busan on weekends. We always stay at the Park Hotel on Gwangalli beach, but they were all booked this past weekend. We went to Busan for the fireworks festival, and this was one of the only hotels available. If I would have known how bad this hotel was, we might not have even gone down to Busan for the weekend. The hotel is in a terrible location with nothing much around it. It is not close to anything, especially not the beach. It doesn't have any good places to eat around it either. The most important thing to note is the fact that my fiance and I are both covered in bites due to bed bugs and mosquitoes that were everywhere. The hotel also says it has a buffet restaurant, coffee shop, and grill. It has none of the above except for offering breakfast from only 7-9AM! This hotel is old, dirty, terribly located, and worst of all, bug infested! Do not stay here!

With the distance from Mainland Japan to Busan, it is usually the Japanese that the Korean community caters to; with this in mind, they don't know excellent English, but Japanese, they know that... lol. Now what makes this a hotel of fame? This hotel was used in a 1980's Korean Movie, nope, didn't know it either. What brought this up, the front desk told my wife, there was also a sign out in front, but of course in Korean, so I couldn't read it. I was upgraded to a suite due to a neglect on my travel arrangments, and what suite did I receive? The main character stayed there...wow.. cool... onto the room, everything is still from the 80's. LOL. The carpet is faded, Couch old, degraded, Wallpaper is quite nostagic. lol. The bed though, that was good. I have back trouble, and with the hardness of the mattress, it was perfect, slept wonderfully. It is good to see the area, don't spend too much in the hotel, as it will depress you, for sleeping and having a good time outside it is a good deal. The Front desk personnel are quite helpful. If you need a bottle opener, its in the desk across from the elevators, very useful as most bottles are not twist off!

The subway is just a 10 minute walk, go to the Beomil Subway station, The subway is by far the best way to get around, very easy to navigate and you can choose different languages.

There is a supermarket, called E-Mart, get into the cab to go about 3 miles to get some groceries, Very reasonable prices.

There are Yakiniku resturants, and other places with in the area, just walk around, lots to see.

Room Tip: No A/C, keep the windows open. It will get hot during the summer time.

Hotel Kukje was located a short 10 minute walk on foot, from the subway station. It is located in a part of Busan with a ton of wedding halls, so you might be seeing many brides and grooms walking around.

You can tell that the hotel once looked very nice and grand...however, it is due for some renovations. The rooms were a nice size....but our beds were not great. I could feel the springs in my bed as soon as I lied down.

The oddest thing was that the bathroom had a very short shower curtain. The curtain didn't even touch the tub....was about 3 inches short of the tub, so as you can imagine, it was very difficult to shower without spraying water out onto the rest of the bathroom.

Overall it was great value for our money, but expect a moderate, 3 star business class hotel.
