Ramada Plaza Jeju Hotel

Convenient location in GuJeju, right by the sea, 10 mins drive from the Airport. Walking distance to the local restaurants (mostly charging exorbitant tourist prices) and one block from e-Mart where you can get everything you need.

The hotel complex was huge, completed with casino and convention center. Free parking for hotel guests at basement garage. The structure and decor were typical of 4-5 star establishments from the 90s. A little outdated.

Check in and out were very swift. Took under 5 mins! Concierge were responsive and helpful.

Guest room and bathroom were quite roomy. I like it that they separated the shower, toilet and washing basin areas. Large windows gave a good view of the town. Though old, the rooms were clean and had adequate amenities (except toothbrushes and toothpaste). I don't understand how a self proclaimed 5 star hotel would not provide something so basic. Also, instead of disposable slippers that are more hygienic, the hotel provided re-usable leather slippers.

Didn't eat the restaurants so can't comment on the quality. The hotel offered complimentary cake slices from their in-hotel deli. We tried the black forest cake and cheesecake. Can't say they were very tasty.

Overall a satisfactory stay. Would recommend it for business or as a layover to and from the Jeju Airport on way to other parts of the island. Seogwipo and Jungmum resort areas are far superior as a base to explore the beautiful Jeju Island.

Room Tip: Choose a seaview room if you don't mind paying a little extra.

Stayed here one night after landing at Jeju Airport. This is an atrium style hotel, in the fashion that was popular in the 1970s and 1980s. At one time, it was probably a popular convention center, but nowadays, it caters primarily to Mainland Chinese on cheap package tours to Jeju.

Although the hotel has the potential to be a really fine place, there are too many errors and omissions in this hotel. For example, the bathrooms have been renovated and feature a walk-in shower stall, a soaker tub, and some kind of high-tech toilet seat with about half a dozen buttons on the side. But - in a room with a Queen bed and a single bed, you only get one bath towel.

Lighting in the room is controlled from a central panel by the bed, but you have to figure this out for yourself after flicking switches and getting no results when you try and turn on lights. When you finally do get the lights on, you find that they are all quite dim, I guess in an effort to save money on electricity.

Breakfast is included and the buffet is quite extensive, but the coffee is lukewarm and the waiters don't bother to replenish the coffee cream. Everything, including coffee, is self-serve.

It's an OK hotel, I suppose I would return here if I could not find anything better, but if I ever come back to this town, I'm going to spend some time looking for a better (more upscale, newer, less cost-cutting) hotel first.

Staff are pleasant, and the rooms are very clean.

The hotel is located near the airport. The check in was flawless, and the room was facing the Halla Mountain, not much of views. The hotel had casino which was accessible to the foreigners only.
Lots of chinese tourists in the hotel.
The wholesale market is located next door, and lots of massage places.
The Jeju Island is famous for three things, the wind, rock and women, If you like seafood, especially sashimi, you will love the place. If you like the meat, especially port, you will love the island.
Didn't dine at the hotel restaurants because of many better restaurants nearby.
Overall, if you have a room facing ocean, you will have a nice view, and you will be able to see the planes take off and landing.

Room Tip: If you can, I would choose the oceanview room.

The airport pick up was great, nice car too.
I really did like this hotel, from the room, bed, linen, TV, bathroom and the food. Everything was good. It is a little aged, but spotless to a tee.
The hotel has a pool (indoor) and a gym, but they do charge extra to use them.
Overall, i highly recommend it.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good, Sea view prob worth the extra in the summer.

This hotel is very near the airport. You can see from a far the nice structure of the Hotel. Very nice receiving area. The room is clean, complete with amenities, typical of a hotel. However only one bottled water is free and there are no free toothbrush.. Wi fi is free in your hotel room..Buffet breakfast is also typical of hotel meal buffet..The hotel is near a convenience store.Love the place and will definitely comeback..

This is a smart hotel just ten minutes from Jeju International Airport. Unfortunately the sea view was not so promising in the Korean Winter in January. This may have been a different story in summer because my room had an excellent view of the ocean. Otherwise, the hotel is comfortable and clean. The definite highlight is the food. The buffet on offer at the hotel restaurant is extensive and has Korean and Euro options at a reasonable price.

Was on business and wanted to stay close to the airport so chose Ramada Plaza since my previous stays in other hotels in Jeju City is less than inspiring. Hotel is old but nevertheless well maintained. Got a Suite which is ordinary and breakfast is average. Close to the airport and will stay again if on business in Jeju City.
