Stayed 2 nights here with family. It's in a good location for town - about a 15 minute walk (and has free parking. The hotel attracts casino customers and others who don't care about paying top dollar for meals, drinks, spas etc - although the hotel itself is a bit old and depressing. The sea view rooms are much better than the city view rooms..... but beware.... you are on a direct flight path with noisy planes roaring overhead from 6am to 10pm. The concierge was kind of comically rude to us, despite all the pleases and thank yous we could muster. He just couldn't care less. English is not widely / fluently spoken here. I would not go back.

Room Tip: You need a sea view room at this hotel on a high floor.

Stayed 4 nights in September.
The hotel was very much 1990s style, from renovation to room design. I won't say it's aged but just not modern.

Ups: high speed free wifi, seaside, perfect location at the peripheral of city centre, with supermarket/food streets/shopping arcade within walking distance.

Downs: Staff kind of lacking enthusiasm, too eco-friendly? (lighting around the hotel was overall very dim), high charge of hotel restaurants, no free toiletries (standard Korean hotel settings)

There seems no other luxury hotel in Jeju City (available in Seogwipo city, South to the island), Ramada Plaza is not bad as a 4-star standard.

Room Tip: Sea view room is the choice

There is nothing to rave but also not much to complain about this hotel. We stayed 4 nights after flying in from overseas and the hotel is located close to the airport and at the ocean. The departing planes are somewhat noisy during the day, but there are no flights over night which made it acceptable. I'd rate this is as a solid 3.5-4* hotel with clean rooms and decent amenities. The one major complaint would be the lack of coffee in the room (which they should really provide), but the E-mart around the corner was able to supply this and other food items very readily. Taxis are cheap in Korea (compared to the US/Europe) and getting around on Jeju or locally was efficient and cheap such that the location of the hotel didn't really matter to us at all. If you are looking for a clean efficient stay close to Jeju city in a non-resort setting the Ramada might be a decent choice if you can get it for << $150 per night.

Can't think of any other best 5-star hotel in Jeju but the Ramada.
Location is excellent. Rooms were really big and breakfast choices are wide and varied. The staff were very accomodating.
You can also while away your time in their casino.
I will always comeback to Ramada when in Jeju.

The rooms are spotless and the ambiance is lovely. Our bed was very comfortable, with great pillows. Our stay was more like being in a hotel, with more privacy, than being in a stuffy, lonely hotel in a strange city. The staff were superb. They were friendly and very competent. We'd highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
