I stopped at this hotel for 1 week after a 4 week run of stopping in hotels in and around Korea. It put it's richer cousins the Hilton & Intercon to shame.

Although not quite a 5 star hotel as advertised - more like a good 4 star hotel. This is perfect for short business trips. All hotel staff very friendly and all spoke a reasonable level of english. The location is 10 mins outside of Daegu $10 taxi trip in and perfectly accessible.

Rooms: small yet comfortable, as other guests have mentioned there isn't an iron in the room but one was soon arranged on request. Rooms are hot with no air con available in the winter and the windows are electrically operated which my colleague didn't find out until half way through the week.

The gym is good, bear in mind you will need to pay apron $10 to use it. The equipment is a little dated but there is a great range of free weights and running machines which is ideal.

Breakfast - good international selection of food with a live cooking station: omeletes, scrambled egg etc

Room service: avoid, as with most hotels in Korea over-priced and sub standard. However within a 10 minute walk there are some really good local restaurants where the food was outstanding and for as little as $6 per dish.

On site there is also a driving range and a casino which I didn't end up using. To sum up will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Daegu as I found the staff very friendly and helpful. Even when I put my laundry in, the staff pointed out a small tear on a seam on a pair of trousers which they repaired perfectly and FOC. I can only suggest lower marks from other international guests down to the lack of language barrier, as i was travelling with Korean colleagues I had no issue whatsoever.

Would recommend.

Room Tip: 5 min walk from the hotel the old city walls within a nice park land - worth a look

I stayed at the Interburgo Exco for a business trip in October. Surprisingly low quality for a 5-star hotel, particularly disappointing for international business visitors. There's no iron in the room, the room service not available beyond 9pm on some evenings, room service staff barely spoke any English, restaurant closed fairly early. Also, the sauna is mens-only - not suitable for international visitors unaccustomed to Korean culture! Security is poor - you can just go to reception, give your room number, and there you will have a key card produce for you - no ID asked nor checked - so you could easily get access to anyone's room! I would not recommend this hotel for anyone.

We checked into this hotel for one night in Daegu. The lobby was very large with a beautiful chandelier, hanging majestically from above. Check in was pretty fast and we were soon in our room. The room looked big with a queen bed and a single bed. Toiletries like shampoo, body wash, shower cap, body lotion, toner and tissue papers were also provided, except tooth brushes. The towels looked sparkling white and clean. Overall the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was a big spread of international and Korean cuisines. One special item was the squid ink bun - soft and fluffy textured black round buns. Coffee and tea came from individual brewing machines and what really caught my attention were the differnt design cups and their matching saucers. Most hotel restaurants would normally provide plain colors or just white ones. Opposite the hotel are shopping centres and factory outlets and there is also a convenient store next to the hotel. I would definitely love to stay here again on my next trip to Daegu for comfort, food and shoppings and service.

If you are attending EXCO in Daegu, Inter-Burgo offers the most convenient location to stay. Standard rooms are comparatively much smaller though good enough for one person but surely over priced. Was able to have sound sleep during my 5-days stay. A small window in the room for fresh air proved very useful.

There is a Japanese and a Westren restaurant on the 17th floor. Have tried both and the food was reasonable. Starbucks located in the corner of EXCO was quite handy as well.

If you are looking for "Halal" food in Daegu, Ali Baba Restaurant located near Bukbu Bus Terminal is worth visiting.

I stay in this hotel for a night or two every couple of months. It is ok. Not the greatest of reviews so I shall say a bit more. Reception is efficient with some English but the big empty space is not very welcoming or homely. The rooms are beginning to look a little tired and the carpets have picked up many interesting stains, which whilst they could tell a good story, I am not sure i want to know. The buffet runs at breakfast and dinner- probably lunch also. The food is of an average standard for buffet with occasional glimpse of the good or very good. There is normally something for everyone although it obviously leans to local tastes.

The hotel is well suited for the small airport and a couple of times I have arrived on the morning flight and there has been no problem to check in a ten thirty AM for a freshen up before work.

The cost is about typical for an international business hotel

Overall it is a good place to lay the head between glasses of soju and the next days work

Room Tip: Get a room on the side overlooking the distant roof top drive in cinema, it is "fun" for a...

We stayed here very shortly for one night on the way to Seoul. The room was a bit small, but clean and well-maintained. The staff were nice: when we inquired about an ice-machine, they kindly delivered ice as a free room service. The room had an exco view and also a fridge. The only complaint is that wifi and LAN were not free.

The hotel has a decent swimming pool, although it is not free even to guests. Lobby was huge, although it was empty with few sitting amenities. The price seems to be reasonable and I will definitely stay here again.

I stayed here with my husband, 1 month ago in Inter-Burgo Exco. It was a nice place and we stayed in a Suite room for 3 nights. The reception was nice, high ceiling, marble look, anyway...classy. My room was huge comparing to other small room i guess, May be too big with the furniture. Bedroom is saparated from the Living room, there are 2 tvs which is very cool. The Toilet size is huge too. Comparing to my room at home, its even bigger. However, the look is a bit worn out, not enough lighting in the room, especially the bedroom. No free internet though!!!!!

Breakfast was ok, eattable really not exellent. No free toothbrush or toothpaste, I have to buy it in the vending machine out side my room. This is the first time, I see a hotel having vending machine selling condom, skin care, toothpaste ect. However, I expect that I can have them for free but no, 2000won for a set.

Receptionists can speak good English but I guess their smiles are charged as well so they smile very mini-mum. Everything is very basic plus too far away from the city center, about 20 mins
