We stayed in the lovely, peaceful Bellus Rose for 3 nights, but could easily have stayed longer. The room (more like an apartment!) was huge, with a kitchenette, big bathroom, bed, seating area and a great balcony. Mrs Park came to collect us from the bus station and made us feel right at home. She brought us a full breakfast every morning and also did our laundry, which was really kind of her. There was a nice-looking swimming pool but it was too cold to use it when we were there. In the evenings Mrs Park came to collect us from the 7-11 near the Korean restaurants area so we didn't have to walk back in the dark. On our last day she made me cry when she gave us a lovely gift, before driving us back to the bus station. Gyeongju is a great place to spend a few days, and the Bellus Rose is THE place to stay.

We spent three days exploring Gyeongju- the hiking and temples were wonderful. The pension was a very pleasant place to stay and the hosts very welcoming. Although it was a little hard to find in the dark the first night, it was a comfortable friendly area and we enjoyed our visit.

What a wonderful experience! The hosts made the entire place come together. They picked us up from a monument, gave suggestions and let us ride bicycles. Breakfast was offered at a reasonable cost. Strongly recommended.

A very warm, helpful couple of which the lady speaks very good English. The pension is part of Gyeongju's pension district and if you are interested in visiting Bulguksa temple and thereabouts along with having access to buses to the terminal, this can be a high end option with great off season prices. The city's undulating feel can make you hungry and restaurants close by 9:30 pm in this area. So if you are coming in a group, stock up a little and enjoy nice a sunny backyard easy breezy breakfast.

Bellus Rose is tucked away up a lane, but in an area where there are lots of pensions and close to a variety of mainly Korean restaurants and large hotels. Mr & Mrs Park were very welcoming and Mrs Park spoke English - always a bonus! The rooms are colourful and comfortable with en-suite shower room, small kitchen area and tv (we were surprised to find BBC World here!). The house is immaculate and well maintained. We were offered breakfast which was very reasonable in terms of price and quality - more than you could expect from a Continental breakfast in Europe. If you find stairs a challenge, do ask for the ground floor room which has a door directly to the outside! There is a swimming pool which we did not even look at, as it was quite cold in March. Mrs Park is happy to offer advice, maps, etc. about the local area and I can thoroughly recommend Bellus Rose as a good place to stay in Gyeongu, particularly if you don't like large impersonal hotels. Parking is available at the front of the pension. We even had a small balcony with table and chairs had the weather been warmer! Ah well, there's always next time...
