The staff was very courteous and respectful.
The rooms: They are decorated like a kindergarten class room with splashes of paint on the walls and small sized furniture with red drawers, definitely not appealing or pleasing to look at. The bathrooms were nice with a fancy european toilet and the shower had good water pressure and a comfortable shower head. The mini bar was not well stocked and way overpriced. Due to how foggy this place is I would recommend not spending money on an ocean view since you wont be able to see anything on most days. Besides, if you have been to Hawaii, the Caribbean, or anywhere else then you will be deeply disappointed with the ocean view in Korea. If you plan to nap between during the day you better bring some earplugs because the floors are not carpeted and the walls are thin. You can hear the maids on the floor above stopping around while cleaning other rooms. Also, due to the design of the hotel the sound from the performers in the lobby bar is heard clearly on weekend evenings and the kids at the indoor pool are heard during the day inside your room.
The Restaurants: Although this hotel claims to have multiple restaurants, they all share the same menu with some very minor variations and the prices are ludicrous. We did really like the pumpkin soup, the club sandwich, and the breakfast.
The Casino: Totally obsolete and the only people that go to this casino are tourists with little or no knowledge or strategy making easy for you to lose money quickly in Blackjack or other games. You are better off going to the casino at the Lotte which has more experienced players and up to date equipment. The drinks were also horribly made with cheap liquor.
The property: The location is good. The outdoor pool is not heated and not very clean. We saw plenty of debris from the surrounding vegetation in there. The pool bar was never open. There are two beaches you can access on either side of the hotel but again if you have been to Hawaii or anywhere else then you will be deeply disappointed with Korea.

I stayed here for 2 nights in June with a king bed with ocean view.

1) Location is amazing, right on Jung mun beach. The airport limo takes you right to your hotel, door to door, from the airport. The actualy Jung mun area isn't that interesting other than the beach (which there are better in other parts of Jeju if you are willing to drive). It is about a 3 minute cab to Jungmun town which has a few shops to eat at.

2) The view from my room is phenomenal. The balcony is amazing. You can sleep with the door open and hear the waves crashing. Given how close you are the ocean, I am surprised how clean the balcony !

3) The atrium is goregous. Ducks. Indoor ducks. Also Koi. Fantastic. Very elegant.

4) Well furnished. Well thought out decorating and great lighting in the room. Gigantic 40 inch LCD screen with many channels.

5) Food is a bit pricey so I suggest eating elsewhere. But you didn't come to Jeju to eat did you?

6) Fantastic service. Other than the guy who worked the car rental booth (Avis), every person was available, helpful, and spoke English well compared to my poor Korean. The concierge in particular was amazing.

i rented a cab vs going on a tour bus and the cab driver was very entertaining. He starts off by saying how Jeju is shaped like a sweet potato, then points out the island. Overall the rooms were good, but I think that they renovations are in order. compared to shilla and lotte, this hotel is small, but when you walk in to the massive atrium, you realize the place isn't small at all. Oh yeah... There's a casino, and each room has a bidet (butt cleaner). And I think several k-dramas may have been filmed there...

We stayed there for 3 nights in Jeju island. Pick this hotel because it's on Jungmun beach and it has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, gym and the location.
Overall, we are happy with the hotel (it's a little bit old in terms of the room but the hotel itself is maintained quite well). The gym is not superb big but it has decent machines and weights we need. Indoor swimming pool is fantastic esp during winter time. Meal is great but only limited selection for vegetarians. The lobby of the hotel is one of the best I have seen. It feels like a serene zen garden with water flows and Koi fish swimming around adding this wonderful colour and serenity while you enjoy a cup of coffee.
Hyatt Regency is located in the tourist area where all the hotels are located.

Not only is the environment of Jeju Island beautiful and amazing, the hotel quality is amazing. This 5 star hotel opens up into a wide, large area with a koi pond in the center. The restaurant overlooks the beautiful waters of Jeju island, and everywhere you look is flawless. The rooms are large and very clean. Room service is fast and kind. This hotel contains all the 5 star qualities travelers and vacationers are looking for.

The hotel is located on the south of Jeju Island, right on the coast. The ride from the airport take approximately 30-45 minutes via the airport shuttle. The bus stops directly at the hotel.

Check-in was a breeze and we were received warmly at the reception. Our room had a partial view of the ocean. Recommend that you pay a little more for an ocean view room. The room was comfortable: king-sized bed, plasma TV, sofa, writing desk, shower and bathtub, coffee and tea facilities.

The atrium in the hotel has a large koi pond and kept my 3-year-old son occupied for hours. The lounge serves tea and pastries in the afternoon. Breakfast spread is good with both Korean and Western food. There is also a small swimming pool, gym and spa. The exterior of the hotel is beautiful and overlooks the ocean. The beach is quite a strenuous walk down the slope (about 400 m I think). Evenings were beautiful with the breeze.

Throughout our stay, hotel staff were extremely polite and helpful. The concierge helped us plan our day trip too.

I would return to this hotel anytime. Wonderful.
