We heard a new Indian restaurant had opened in Ulsan, and we couldn't wait to try it. Bombay Brau did not disappoint! We didn't book in advance, despite being advised to, and were pleasantly surprised as there were many tables available..must be because we turned up at 6.30pm!
Denny, the restaurant host, was super friendly and pleasant and took us to our table. The decor in this place is pretty amazing!
As we were both starving (as how we usually are by dinnertime!), we got right into the ordering. We ordered Half a Tandoori chicken (10000 won), the signature dish Chicken Tikka Masala (15900) and the Lamb Curry (16900), all extra, extra spicy, as that is the only way we ever eat curry. We also had a rice and a plain naan to share.
FLAVORSOME! The Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala was fantastic, very very good. I think the Chicken Tikka Masala is the best in Ulsan (and we've been to all the other Indian places here). The curry had good amounts of spice, was very rich and full of body! The lamb curry was also very tasty but the chicken dish won our hearts.
Sadly, the portions were small, so we both weren't full! Maybe we just need to order more next time.
We were served a complimentary salad. There are so many drinks to choose from here, including the beer they brew themselves, so you can take your pick as well as a variety of other beers, wines, lassis.
Verdict: Very good and yes, we will be back!
