I just returned from this place two days ago. We stayed there for four days at the end of a 15 day tour. What made this place special and unique was the manager and staff. They were very friendly and attentive. The manager, Ravi, introduced himself and made us feel comfortable; he was also right there if we needed any help with anything. His brother, Jaba, is a tuk tuk driver and took us into Bentota city when we needed a ride for a small fee. He was quite the character! The cook was amazing and all the food was excellent (I asked him to move in with me to be my cook haha I wish!) They even had a sweet dog named Rex who hung out around the place; I didn't mind him and thought he was cute.

The rooms are spacious and all have a balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. The whole place was clean and well maintained. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone, but there is something that needs to be mentioned. This hotel is on a very busy four lane road, and this made it noisy at all times of the day and night. After touring for 11 days, I was exhausted and wanted to sleep. The noise outside disrupted my sleep several times. We also had the electricity flicker on and off a few times (this is common in Sri Lanka though). If you can get past the noise, I definitely recommend staying here! It is truly rare to find such a nice, caring staff of people.

Myself and two friends stayed here at the end of an organised tour. We were here for four nights, and it was a great end to a fantastic vacation.
Ravi and the staff are always willing to help and are very polite, always smiling. The service here is very personal, unlike large hotels where you can sometimes feel ignored.
The food here is so good, especially considering it is a small villa. The seafood was fantastic, and I highly recommend the Risotto (the inexpensive price made it even better!).
The villa is always kept clean, but you are given the option to have your room cleaned daily (if you prefer not to, the staff are happy to leave you in privacy but anything you need, such as clean towels etc can simply be requested).
The pool and gardens are gorgeous, and having the hammock and sun loungers there just made it so easy to unwind in the sun. There are also plentiful supplies of clean beach towels at the ready for you.
If you need to go anywhere, Bentota is not far and the shopping there is quite good. Ask for Ravi's brother Jaba to help you out with his tuk-tuk, and he will be happy to also guide you around Bentota and help you negotiate the best places to shop.
The only negative about the Sea Rock Villa was the noise from the street. Unfortunately all of the beach-front accommodation in Induruwa has the same problem, and the traffic noise can be very distracting if you are a light sleeper. For me, this was not a major concern, as all of the other positives (such as the huge sun terrace from my apartment, and being able to see and hear the ocean) certainly outweighed the noise of the traffic.
A basic cocktail menu would also add to the great service on offer at the Sea Rock, but if you are in need of a good Mojito - Jaba will be able to take you to the right place in his tricked-out tuk-tuk!
I highly recommend staying here, and thank Ravi and the boys for their help and hospitality during our stay. I miss the place already!
Ayubowan!

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms, on the first floor, will keep you away from the additional noise of the kitchen etc...

The hotel is the incredibly well maintained - the room we stayed in on the ground floor had only been redecorated 3 months prior. It has direct entry onto the beautiful garden (with swimming pool) which leads straight to the sea. We think there are only 6 rooms here... And they are not full. The staff are outstanding, very friendly and always available to assist. Food prepared and cooked to a very high standard (I would not normally touch meat on a trip like this but was only too happy to tuck into the delights prepared - western and Sri Lankan dishes). A short tuktuk ride from the town where grocery shopping can be done, as well as a plethora of restaurants to suit all tastes. There is a turtle hatchery within walking distance and the hotel manager arranged for us to go and release the three day old turtles into the sea. Other staff walked with us at night along the beach with torches to spot turtles laying eggs. Our stay here has been really idyllic and we would recommend this hotel to anyone!

We hired the whole villa for our holiday, (just my husband & I) it was fantastic. We have been to Sri Lanka several times, so this holiday was to relax & chill out, (no tours). It would be a great place to go with family & friends, you could rent the whole villa, thus making it much cheaper than a large hotel.
We have stayed at Saman villas, in a room with a pool, but here you get the whole villa with a pool for about half the price, and the food & drinks are much cheaper.
The Villa was spotlessly clean, the food good & the staff friendly & helpful. The manager Ravi was always about to look after things. The beach was quiet,(no beach bums trying to sell stuff.)
Obviously if we had just rented a room, it would have cost us about a 3rd of the price we paid, so if your on a budget, it would be 5* accomodation for 2* prices.
The weather was good, even though it was out of season, we only had rain twice during the day, and that wasn,t for very long. The sea is a bit rough this time of year, but then its never very calm at any time.
It,s not very far from bentota, where there are some good restaraunts.
We would definately recomend this Villa to anyone, and would like to say a big thankyou to Ravi & his staff

Room Tip: All rooms upstairs are the same.

We stayed at Sea rock villa for three daysin april 2012. The villa is quite new and is located right on the Bentota beach, just few meters from the sea, and has also a pool. The garden is green and well equipped with some sun decks. It's all well managed, by the owner Ravindra. The rooms are clean and the food is good. The staff, made by the locals is very friendly. They have also a tuk tuk, so it is possible to hire a driver for short rides to Bentota or Aluthgama. It is one of the best solution for those, who want to spend some days very close to the sea. Compliments to the staff. THey are doing very well.
