Undiscovered paradise and ,selfishly, hope it remains this way.calm oasis with wonderful hosts.managed to de-stress completely and came back with more than just holiday memories.a wonderful alternative to the hotel and overcrowded beach experience while getting great service, excellent homemade Sri Lankan cooking and a wonderful beach just minutes from the lush, tropical guest house location.will be back very soon.

Wonderful and rural situated guesthouse, in a little village and nearby the beach at about 700 meters.
Very friendly and warm couple who run the house. The owner can tell you a lot about the country, culture, flora and fauna.
Very helpful and excellent in giving suggestions and organizing trips, if necessary with his own Van.
A very good kitchen with normal prices.
The breakfast is excellent with fruits, bread, eggs, coffee or tea etc.
Modern designed and large rooms with very good beds and fine airco and fan. They have an own balcony with a view on the tropical rural.
Quality and price are in a good balance.

We stayed 2 nights in this beautiful guesthouse. The location is perfect: surrounded by a wild jungle, the rooms are very clear, new, spacious and full furnished (both AC and Fan).
Breakfast is amazing: fresh fruits, german coffee/tea, toast butter/jam, have to try the Sri lankan style omelette. One night we had dinner too.. it was perfect, the best Sri lankan curry we've had during our holyday and much cheaper than the other restaurants of the Bentota's area which usually are so expensive. The best part was meeting the owner's family. Dolitha, his wife and the the 3 childs are very kind, they tried everything to make us feeling like at home.
So..go there..and enjoy a real singalese guesthouse instead of the overpriced and commercial hotels located on the beach. Gianni & Sara, Italy

The only reason I am sharing this beautiful place is because the owners said I could - other than that, I would be keeping it a secret; a place to return to as my own private hideaway.
Myself and my partner booked this property blindly and based solely on price and location. We were on our last day of our trip and we needed to be on the road back north for the airport. I am normally reluctant to book a place without essential information, most notably cleanliness, but I had a good feeling about here.
We arrived to the warmest welcome I have had anywhere in years. We got a refreshing welcome drink and our bags taken to our room. The owner literally could not do enough for us. We were very tired so we didn't dally that night and went straight to bed. The room was spotless and very new with a spacious balcony overlooking pretty semi-jungle. It seemed as though we had found a little piece of paradise. There are a few things that still have to be added yet, such as curtains on the window and internet in the rooms, but these are things that are not essential and I am confident the owners will see to them in due course.
Breakfast was fresh and filling - omelette, fruit, toast, tea, coffee. We also had dinner there and it was exquisite. I am not a curry eater but the pineapple curry was to die for. The service at all times was the best I have had in many years travelling. The owner and his son did everything they could to ensure we were comfortable and happy. The other members of the family also made us feel like royalty without any hint of falseness on their side. It may seem that I am exaggerating but if you care to read my other reviews, you will note that I am not afraid to tell the truth.
Despite not leaving until late that night we were free to use a room and shower before leaving.
The location is magical. There is a temple nearby and in ten minutes you can be in what I would describe as real Sri Lanka. The locals greet you, the children want to practice their English with you, the sight of the monks' vestments drying on the line is a reminder that you are somewhere else. The neighborhood dogs did make me a little nervous but since they are everywhere in Sri Lanka you get used to them.
I hope people will come here to support these wonderful people in their business venture but i hope they will respect the peaceful and special place this is.
