I had a 1,5 hour traditional full body massage. All my blockages and tensions had been released through strong pressure. I felt like newborn afterwards. It was the best massage in my life with longlasting wellbeeing. Wijaya the therapist is great.
Me and my partner arrived at the Rockside Beach Resort in late December 2018. After having trouble with another booking company (this had nothing to do with Rockside and we got our full refund) Rockside saved our holiday and accommodated us for two nights at The Rockside Beach Resort and for 8 Nights at the Devi Canal Resort (2 minutes away and with full use of the Rockside’s facilities, tuk tuk journey was free of charge to and from both resorts)
I can’t begin to explain how grateful we both were for the service and heartfelt assistance we received from both resorts. The staff were exceptional and also provided us with some trips at very reasonable prices with the lovely Rowan (much cheaper than booking online with other companies) – Udawalawe, Turtle Hatchery and river safari along with some shopping trips.
The Hotel is beautiful and very clean, the biggest asset is the location and private beach with sunbeds and a lovely beach assistant (sorry we don’t have everyone’s names!) who even found and returned my lost phone. The included meals were really tasty, with lots of vegetarian options and always better when ordered fresh from the kitchen, the staff were always willing to make small adjustments and changes to the menu for us when we needed it.
The front office staff were spectacular, Ranishni (so sorry if I have spelt this wrong) was amazing, and always took the time to organize and help us, which we needed a lot of! Also Romesh and Lalith were very helpful. At the Devi Canal we had a lovely lady who accommodated us and even surprised me with flowers and small gifts. – Everyone was so kind and lovely!!
Overall we had a wonderful time at both resorts (these are part of the same company) The staff are a real credit to these resorts and we will definitely visit again! It was so good I cried when we had to leave haha!
As an added comment the Devi Canal was very peaceful and we always had a good night sleep there.

There’s no wifi in rooms and if you call reception- sir no wifi in rooms (inside) go to balcony for wifi 👏👏👏 thank god he didn’t tell me to jump into sea 🤷♂️
And there’s no international plug sockets in room..
Yes we do have wi-fi in the rooms and it could be a malfunction with the server by that time.

The location of the resort is at the beach giving a very scenic view. The pool was maintained well and the rooms well maintained. Here also we didn't find vegetarian food appealing but we could find a nice Indian restaurant DHABBA nearby where we had some great food
Fabulous food,amazing hospitality.Few members to b named Abhirat nt to 4gt others.Small property with private beach and clean space. Tv does not have much channels to watch. Its rainy in October thus a spoil sport.
