My family spent a relaxing week at the cottage, using the pool, fishing on the lake and the odd visit around the area. Property and staff excellent. If you want a relaxing and peaceful holiday this is the place for you.

This is a peaceful, relaxing environment and the level of customer service is superb. The staff has an uncanny ability to anticipate your every need and then some. You have the opportunity to do as much or as little as you want. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants somewhere to unwind or get away from it all.

We just spent one glorious week at South Point Cottage and our entire family, including 2 children aged 9 & 12 agree that this has been one of our favorite holidays. Yes, the cottage and its location are beautiful and tranquil, but what made South Point outstanding was the owner and the staff.

Sonali is a gracious and kind hostess. She was always available to help and advise and she let us use the facilities at the gorgeous beach house when it was empty. We loved meeting the dogs!

Shanta the cook turned out the most delicious creations at very meal. Although we had planned to try some restaurants in Galle, we gave up on that idea once we tasted Shanta's food. Sujit the butler was able to discern our needs almost before we recognized them ourselves. He took care to always prepare the rooms and dining table beautifully and even taught my daughter how to fold dinner napkins in many shapes. He did everything to make the children happy and to allow us all to feel absolutely relaxed. The caretaker took the children fishing and out on a boat safari. Gamini the manager went and bought me a hopper pan when I expressed interest in making hoppers back home. Each staff member was excellent in every way and as a result I shall look back on this holiday as one of my all time favorites.

If you are considering a trip to the Galle area and if one of the south point properties is in your budget, do not hesitate. This place is absolute perfection.

Idyllic location with very caring staff. Lake front position - expansive views over Lake Koggala. The staff very attentive & discreet at the same time. food was just amazing - fresh, varied & they catered to everyone's needs - the pizza was a hit with Kids!
Swims in the pool, strolling down the beach, boat rides in the lake + a spot of whale watching. ( Book Raja & the Whales - great trip)
Main area of improvement was the bedding comfort - was ok - but could be upgraded.

We chose South Point Cottage as we wanted something away from the main road, a relaxing environment, walking distance to the beach and good food.

The Cottage and its team delivered everything, - cant wait to go back!
