“Needs a lot of love”

Certainly worth a visit. Leave some rupees too, they're gunna need them. There are glimpses of the once grand building it was. The stained glass windows are superb .

“Home counties thoughts from abroad”
Reviewed 23 June 2013

The Church is something you would expect to find in the Home Counties of the UK. It's familiar and proportioned well in 19C Gothic style but that misses the sense of space, the sense of time you feel when you walk around. Look at the stained glass windows made in the 19C in Brewer Street, London or the decorations on the wall. The one thing that is missing is some more detail about the church and tis times. There are still english services taking place..go and see and be at peace

“A little piece of England !!”
Reviewed 16 February 2013

Looking at this wonderful building ,makes you think of the struggles that the settlers had moving from England !!The building is typically Anglican in style ,and is still in use as a place of worship,to a small congregation .
The grave yard is full of interesting headstones

“Active & Vibrant Church with rich history”
Reviewed 15 February 2013

Locates a block from our hotel. I took morning stroll around the Fort in a quiet moment. Came by, but the gate was locked. Brought the family at a later point and saw there were worshippers that Sunday. Walked through when the service was over. It's opened to visitors. The ground is filled with old tombstone. The children were interested in the headstone and the languages is bears. Worth a stroll through.

“Bit of Europe in Sri Lanka”
Reviewed 17 January 2013

It is always fascinating to view a church which could be situated in England in the middle of a tropical country! A brick edifice with interesting history displayed by it's plaques and tombstones.
