Delicious curry tasting for 4, very good price and all of the curries were absolutely delicious. Only one contained meat, which was no problem as there was pumpkin, potato, cauliflower etc. Lots of rice provided too. Small place so make sure you get in early!

Even for a Sri Lankan, it's rare to be able to feast on 10 curries along with your rice, so this was an interesting experience. We were also able to try curries like Pineapple and Cucumber that don't feature too often on the dinner table at home. So, I'd recommend this place readily to both locals and foreigners.

- Most of what was served up was good, while not great. The Eggplant/Wambatu Moju was definitely great and I also loved the Cucumber curry.
- Unlike most places serving local food, the Lucky Fort curries were not overly oily and the ingredients were fresh, which gave it an authentic feel.
- Considering the number of items, the quantities were more than enough to absolutely overeat!
- Rice and curry of this quality and quantity for Rs.950/- (+ a small service charge) for 2 is totally value for money in my book!
- Service was excellent.
- Quiet, homely Fort setting.

- Some of the items were served cold.
- The Lassi drinks we ordered were not very consistent and not as value-for-money as the rice and curry. One was watery and another tasted... odd, while another was excellent.

- From a local's perspective, I'd have liked the food to have been spicier. In retrospect, we should have mentioned this when we ordered as the sign outside does say "low spicy".
- While I was not fussed about paying it, and it was probably mentioned in the menu, they could indicate the service charge on the board outside with a "+" sign.

Visited this restaurant since it was so highly recommended on trip advisor and was a little disappointed.

Food is served from the family house and you eat in the verendah or garden. Curries are good, authentic at least and there's a sufficient amount of food for two people. It is quite pricey for 950, given the setting and the quality we had cheaper as authentic curries elsewhere around Sri Lanka for less.

This is a place to go if you're looking for home cooked food with no frills at all. It was kind of dark, hot and quiet. Not the best after a day of exploring the Fort, there's lots of other nicer places along the main strip to go visit.

Very good Sri Lankan rice and curry at an amazing price. 10 different but all very good curries with a mass of rice. Also nice to find somewhere with alcohol in the fort.
We came here twice during our stay in galle, once as a group of 5 when we were given so much wonderful food, that we barely were able to make a dent. We sat out on their small but pretty terrace. We returned later as a group of 12 and were given a repeat of the great curries and again had more food than we could eat.

We ordered the curry set here, which includes 10 delicious curries for RP950 for 2 people! Curries were delicious and staff were lovely and attentive. Also try the watalappan. Please note they do not serve alcohol here.
