We arrived in Sri Lanka 10 days ago and were delayed nearly 2 hours due to baggage loss. The second we went through the gates we were greeted by a smiling, happy Soyza even though he had had to wait over 2 hours for us! He was the best, most patient and kind driver , guide and friend we could have asked for, he gave us a marvellous vacation and we had many laughs together. He surpassed his job description by helping us with so much during our holiday- Soyza is the best!!

We had an excellent experience with SL Driver Tours. The owner, Hasantha Nilupul is easy to work with, responsive and on time. The driver he selected for us, Daya Jayamanne, was excellent in all ways. He was, of course, a superb driver. And the car was spacious enough for us passengers, my 6'4" husband, my 16 year old daughter and myself. The A/C was efficient (and we needed it!). Daya shared lots of information about Sri Lanka, brought us to out of the way places to dine and shop and patiently navigated the incredibly complex traffic flow. And, we never felt pushed into doing something...he just listened to our ideas and came up with options. He truly was, I believe, the primary reason that our trip was as lovely as it was. As I sit here watching the snow fall (again), it's hard to believe that we just visited the beautiful country of Sri Lanka, half a world away.

We had a fantastic two weeks with our driver, Amila - he was very knowledgeable about his beautiful country, always smiling and able to help with any requests we had. He was an excellent driver and we always felt completely safe. For us, he perfectly managed the balance between friendly and also giving us space.
We found SDL very easy to work with and would highly recommend them.

Due to some misunderstandings with another travel company the tour dates i had initially requested were no longer available. This put me in a bit of a problem because i had already booked accommodation based on this companies itinerary and had already arrived in Sri Lanka. They very kindly referred me to SL Driver Tours which i have to say was an absolute blessing! From the very first contact with Mr Hasantha everything went smoothly and exactly according to my hopes and wishes. Everything was possible even very short notice alterations to the itinerary were no problem at all. I booked a 16 day tour starting in Colombo and ending in Negombo which covered all and more than i could have hoped to experience within this short space of time. My driver Mr Rathanayake speaks perfect English and proved to be a very kind, amiable and knowledgeable person. He was very easy to get along with and since i was traveling on my own i have to say that made it all the more pleasant for me. Most of all though Mr Rathanayake navigated me safe and sound through the sometimes crazy Sri Lankan traffic. I never once was worried about his driving and felt very safe. I can honestly recommend the company SL Driver tours and my driver Mr Rathanayake to anyone wishing to make the most out of their visit to this amazing country! Thank you once again for making this holiday everything i had dreamed of! All the best from the bitter cold Holland ;-) Marcel T.

We've just completed a 10 day tour with Gayan as our driver and guide in this amazing county. All we can say is that from the first moment of contact with Hasantha to the final drive to the airport we had a fantastic trip and in many ways made more pleasurable with Gayan leading the way. Thanks SLD Tours - I would have no hesitation to recommend you!
