Sure, it's not the best hotel in the world but there was nothing to complain for. Good service, big room, nice swimming pool, good food. What else do we need in such a poor country ? We were pleased to stay there.

Room Tip: Ask a room facing the pool

During my four day stay I was continually impressed with the helpfulness and cheerfulness of the staff. However, the overall quality of the hotel itself reminded me of the 1980s. Little to nothing has been done to upgrade the rooms in this hotel. The carpet made me wary and through out my stay I never felt comfortable to not wear shoes or slippers walking to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The sliding glass door to balcony held its own terror - one evening I went out to enjoy watching the sunset, closed the door behind me to keep bugs out and air conditioning in, and when I tried to open it again, it would only open enough to get my body through by turning sideways and holding my breath. If you have business in Ezulwini and need an inexpensive place to stay, this is it. If you are visiting the area for pleasure, there are better places to stay.

We have stayed in this hotel many times, our honeymoon was the first night 21 years ago. We are amazed at the friendly service we receive every time we come here. Good, clean rooms providing value for money. EXCELLENT restaurant and a home away from home.

Room Tip: Non smoking rooms on second floor pool facing. We love 219,221.

We did not have a good experience.

Checked in and went to the room, opened the door and there were used towels in the bathroom, toilet not flushed and the bed had been rested on since being made. Spoke with reception and they moved us to another room.

Went to the bar to get a pre-dinner drink, 2 gin and tonics. Half of the first was poured and ran out of gin, barmaid checked in the bar no gin, so she headed off some where. Back five and a half minutes later empty handed, grabbed the empty gin bottle and headed off again, this time returning 4 minutes later with a bottle of gin, several minutes later we had our G&T's. Went to pay for the G&T's, barmaid preseed upteen dozen buttons on the till, consulted with others and then 8 minutes later got to pay the bill. What a fiasco.

Headed into the restaurant, ordered a bottle of wine, waiter had no idea of what wine was, or how to get it. Poured me a full glass (way over full) straight off, (ie no tasting) and then left without pouring my partners wine. Ordered a bottle of water, once delivered no glasses, after calling him back 5 minutes later a glass arrived.

The buffet diner was OK.

I was here on business for about ten days. Hotel room was nice, overlooking the pool and garden with a nice veranda, but there was no fridge in the room. A problem when the weather is hot. The hotel can get a bit noisy at times due to bus loads of tourists arriving and this was distracting when I was trying to work in my room. Internet has to be paid for, it is quite expensive and troublesome.
Resturant buffet was good but not for every evening and the other food options are limited to the pool bar or main bar which is not very pleasant. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel shares with its sister hotel the Five star Royal Swazi which is close bye. This is very convenient as guests can use all of the facilities of the Royal Swazi, including spa, gym, golf course and casino. The food at the royal is also better. A shuttle runs beween the two hotels every 10 mins. Shuttle from airport to hotel is 60E

Most enjoyable. Did not have a reservation - all reception staff excellent.
We enjoyed the ' buffet ' dinner - one of the best we have had. All round most pleasant.
Suggest management upgrades the TV's in the rooms, rather old and not very clear.
On another note went to the sister hotel Royal Swazi to visit their casino. What a pleasant surprise, very clean, music quiet in the background and no drunk riff raff at all.
Most certainly will visit again.

Room Tip: Garden/pool facing - lovely view. Did not have time to visit the Spa.

We stayed here one night. It is in a tourist area and adjoins with a larger more expensive hotel that has a casino. The grounds between the two are wonderful and we walked to the other hotel for more variation in restaurants. Great for kids as they have Kamp Kwena. Definitely nice and clean and staff was very accommodating.
