We encountered no specific problems but it just did not measure up to our experiences elsewhere in Souther Africa. This could be a great hotel. Instead, it is an acceptable hotel. If you want to stay in the area, it is okay but the highlight of your visit will not be the hotel. The common areas are nice including the pool area. Service was quite slow in both restaurants and at the pool area. It is annoying to have to wait to be seated for breakfast buffet when there are clearly many tables open. If this were a full-service breakfast restaurant, this would be understandable for staffing purposes but it is an uncrowded buffet. Dinner was good at the full service restaurant and okay at the buffet.

Although the hotel is very neat and clean, it really needs an upgrade. Entrance and reception areas look great, but the rooms are not 5 star. Wi-Fi, which you have to pay for, is basically non-existent during weekdays, but does improve over the weekend. Staff needs training. At times we found them quite rude, and not understanding what we were asking for. The breakfast buffet is adequate, but the quality has deteriorated since previous years. The hotel is located in a beautiful part of Swaziland, and although we did not play golf, the course looked in a very good condition. A bit of money will have to be spent on the hotel, and attention given to training, otherwise it will just deteriorate.

The Spa is very good, and the therapists well trained. We enjoyed the time spent at the spa, and can recommend it. The rates are reasonable.

Room Tip: A number of rooms have a view of the roof of the building, and as air conditioners are located on th...

The staff is generally friendly and the service good. The food is good and the surroundings majestic. But the rooms are in desperate need of a revamp; how much can a new tv cost really? the tiny and very old cathode ray tvs are a far cry from what can be expected in a "5-star"establishment, the carpets are-sinusitis inducing and some of the bathrooms do not have extractors so the steam hangs around for a looong time!!! If the hotel rooms would move with the times, this would be a fabulous establishment.

Room Tip: Request for a fridge from the reception/house-keeping because fridges are only brought to rooms on r...

The hotel was not of the same standard as other Sun International properties. Room was clean but dated. It was non smoking room but smelled of cigarettes. Bathroom was mouldy in certain parts. No free Wi-fi. This is strange as free wi-fi has become an international standard for hotels of this claimed calibre.

The outside areas were very nice. Nice pool bar and jacuzzi. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was adequate and again not of the same standard as other Sun International hotels

A beautiful setting, with rooms overlooking beautiful countryside. A long walk, up & down stairs (no lifts) from reception. The hotel was v noisy in the evening and there was nowhere to sit quietly and chat. The main bar had v loud music and a young crowd - maybe locals? No change facilities - poor for what claims to be a 5* hotel. Service OK, but v poor at breakfast. Seemed to be inadequate staffing as we had to ask 3 times for coffee - luckily the rest was a buffet! Clearing of tables also v slow.

Room Tip: Ask for room on the garden side - the pool side gets the noise from the bar.

Stayed for just one night which was enough. Public areas give an impression to match the 5 star rating, however the bedrooms were certainly not. No fridge in the room so I had to have the aircon (very noisy) on all night to keep insulin cool, basic tea and coffee (OK). Dinner buffet was plentiful (although pricey). Wifi only available if you pay 35 rand for half an hour - all the other hotels (not all 5 star) on our trip were free. Wouldn't choose to return but OK for 1 night (passing through).

The location is beautiful and my room was comfortable but it looked rather dated and faded. Shower over rather old bath. Dinner was good, with friendly, helpful service. Breakfast was good. Aspects of the hotel were slightly 'blingy'. You have to pay for wifi, which I object to. Why have to pay for wifi, when you don't pay extra for water or towels or lighting or....? Overall it's ok but not a hotel I'd add to my favourites. It all feels rather remote from surrounding Swaziland.
