My wife and I booked into this place for what we thought would be 2 or 3 days.
Tired, after a long days travel, we collapsed onto our beds..
We thought that we would have a shower, but there was no hot water.
The room that they gave us had a funny smell, but we thought that this would disappear if we opened the windows.. It didn't, and it made you feel dirty, esp when trying to get some shuteye later. We thought we had gone back to Egypt.
We checked the toilet and were disgusted.
On going down stairs to complain and ask for another room, we were told that a cleaner would be sent up to clean our room.
She arrived, shortly after, and gave the toilet seat a wipe.
I dont think there is a worse feeling than walking out of a hotel, feeling dirtier than when you entered it.
You just had the feeling that you didn't want to touch anything because it felt dirty.
Needless to say, we left this place first thing in the morning.
We tried the internet, and it kept failing.
This was the worst place that we stayed in Syria, which was disappointing, as the rest of the country was great.
In fact we loved our fortnight in this country, and the Crac was the greatest.
