My family of 3 stayed from dec 29-31. The hotel is quite a distance from hsinchu railway station. There was a queue of yellow cabs outside the station but many refused to take us. They gave the same reasons that their boots had no space for our luggage (1M&2S)??? The hotel is quite old. We saw only one Taiwanese family during our stay. We booked a room with 2 big beds for NTD1900/night but they upgraded us to a room with 3 big beds which cost NTD3600/night for free. They brought us extra blankets without request which was a nice gesture during winter. Breakfast is plain porridge with a few dishes and bread with assorted spreads. Drinks include coffee and orange juice. Though simple and inexpensive, the breakfast is satisfying. What puzzled us is when the hotel book taxis for us, they were not the regular yellow taxis but some private owned cars which charge a flat rate of NTD100 within hsinchu.
