“Nice rides”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 April 2014

We took the fairy, we drove our scooters on the boat and rode over. It's a ten minute ride over to cijin. There are lots of things to see at cijin you will need a bike scooter or something so you can ride around and enjoy the sights! I recommend bikes bc they are easier to park. There are tons of places to eat shop and see.

“Nice ferry ride to Cijin”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 February 2014

Yes you can take a taxi but why not ride the ferry and enjoy the 10 minute ride. Affordable attraction that deposits you in the midst of a bustling, friendly port city. Of course you can rent a rickshaw or bicycle but you miss a lot by not walking. Tons of places to eat and shop.

“Best entertainment you can get for USD 50cents!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 February 2014

For a mere NT15 (about 50cents USD), the 5 minutes ferry ride will take you to QiJing Island, where you can spend an afternoon walking the area, as well as visiting the many food stalls.

Once you are onboard, walk up stairs and go to the rear of the boat. Quickly snap a few pictures with friends and family as the boat ride is up before you know.

It is well worth the NT15. Highly recommended.

“Rent a bike & enjoy nice atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2013

Go to Cijin from Gushan (Kaoshiung), only take 10 minutes. As you arrived at Cijin, you can take a rickshaw trip for NTD 200/ 1 round (15 minutes), rent a bike (NTD 100 for unlimited time), or a tandem 4-cycle (available for 4 persons).
I recommend you to rent a bike, so you can explore the adjacent area easily (and faster than walking). You'll find food stalls all along the way from ferry pier to the other side of the beach. Nice atmosphere, worth visit.

“Fun day trip”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 January 2013

You can take your scooter/ bicycle on the ferry for a quick 5-10min ride across to the Cijin island. Over there, theres a street with lots of snacks/ seafood restaurant if you're into snacking/ a good seafood feast. Otherwise, the beach is pretty nice too.
If you're in for some exercise, you can cycle to the lighthouse or windmill park for some great views. On a good day, the sunset is breathtaking (:
