This is the 2nd time I went to Chichin Island. The first time I traveled there by a car and missed lots of interesting things along the road. This time I took a bus to go there and got off at the Windmill park and walked along the sea shore to the light house.
The walk is simple and relaxing just a bit hot on the day. At the start of sea side route, we were surprised a large portion of the sea shore was destroyed such that a section close to the Windmill park were closed. Walking towards the lighthouse is about a 1 to 1 1/2 hours walk. We saw locals ride on bicycles and I think that's a good choice if you hate walking too much.
Basically the route is along the sea side and will go pass some parks, some shores that cannot swim and a beach when you're close to the light house side. What is great is that you can simple go back to the main road to find local food and market when you need as the route is just parallel to the road.
The bad thing is when I was there some constructions were still taking place probably to rebuild some destroyed parts.
Anyway, it's worth for a walk or ride for the view.
