Hello - My husband, sons (age 22& 17) and I just returned from an African trip put together by The Kiliholidays Tours and Safaris. We worked closely with our team to craft the perfect journey and now I want to let you know that we had the most PERFECT trip ever! Anyway, just wanted to let you know that we could not have had a better time! And things went amazingly smoothly! No glitches, no bumps in the road. Our journey was AMAZING!!! There was always someone to greet us wherever we went; we always had a ride to wherever we were headed; our accommodations were first rate! In fact, at one of our camps, an Abercrombie and Kent vehicle pulled up and those travelers (who I know paid twice as much as we did) were so happy to be staying at such a great camp -- the same camp as us! This was truly a life-changing experience and we know we want to return again in the future. Our Tanzania guide, Deo, made sure we saw all the big five and then some. He is knowledgeable! In the Serengeti Park we saw 6 lionesses take down a wildebeest and then watched the pride eat their meal -- Very cool! We saw a mom and baby rhino in the ngorongoro crater.
We had a bush lunch down the crater with crocodiles and another family that we became friends with. We watched wildebeest moms giving birth in the crater. We saw a leopard devour its kill up in a tree. Then we saw leopards so close to our vehicle that we could have touched them! And cheetah! Anyway, we are sorting through our thousands of photos and video that we took. We have shared our experiences with everyone who asks (which is pretty much everyone!) The Masai tribes are beautiful, warm people and we have video and photos of us dancing with them and hugging them. Well, you probably hear this all the time, but I did want to share a little with you. We cannot thank Kiliholidays Tours and Safaris enough for putting together such a life-altering and FLAWLESS journey for us!! I would highly recommend using Kiliholidays Tours for planning the perfect safari and we will undoubtedly use them again in the future!

The real Africa. The poverty is confronting but the noise and smells and atmosphere are not to be missed. Go to the local markets.

We did a one day tour to a close Massai Boma nearby Arusha with Raymond - our nice guide from the Tanzania Tourist Board in Arusha. It was a great experience, because we really had the possibility to get in touch and talk to massai people and experience their way of life. We also had the chance to see a big massai market, which takes place every sunday, which was amazing to see. Additionally to the great impressisions, which we got on our tour, the people in the massai village benefit from the tour fee, which is a good side effect.

Who seeks for the real touch with the Massai culture should definitely do one of the strips offered by the Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB).
