We stay here for 1 night after safari. Christina house locates out of Arusha town. Althrough it's only a small home guesthouse, Christina cook best food than all safari hotel's before, delicious beef and soup! but the room just nearby main road to Moshi, it's a little moisy。

My husband and I and another couple stayed at Christina's for 3 nights before our safari and again for 2 days before our flight home. When making the reservations Christina was always very prompt and personable in her email replies. Christina is a warm woman who clearly cares about her guests and ensuring that they feel at home with her and have a wonderful time in Tanzania. We arrived in the evening and they brought us tea and coffee out on the communal balcony to welcome us.The bedrooms are not large although the bathrooms are a good size. We did not spend much time in our rooms. We were on the upper level at the back which are probably the best rooms as they face away from the road that can get noisy. We made great use of this large sitting veranda which has tables and chairs and overlooks the garden as a general relaxing area. Christina is very generous and offers personalized service. The guest house is on the main road from the airport and is a little distance into Arusha. She however offered to drive us into town and then onto the Shanga Centre and later to the Maasai market which was a whole day excursion just for the cost of her gas. Breakfast which is included, was generous and we had 2 dinners of traditional Tanzanian food that they prepared for us. We got to know her small staff which included Helen and Rose so that it began to feel like a second home. Helen who does most of the cooking, is a little shy but lovely and one morning she spontaneously sang us as song at breakfast. Christina with whom we had many conversations is an interesting and entrepreneurial Tanzanian woman. She also arranged for a very nice driver to take us in and pick us up from a particular restaurant in Arusha as well the following day to take us to a Children's Center that we wanted to visit. Christina also arranges safaris and day trips for her guests if they wish. Christina took us to the village that is a short walk behind her place and introduced us to Frida who is running a program for women to get them started raising chickens to sell their eggs. It looks like a very worthwhile sustainable organization to which we made a small contribution. On the day we left not only did they serve us a light lunch up on the balcony( free of charge) but Christina arrived with a little gift for each couple. If you prefer to stay at a more personable place than a hotel, to have the feeling that the host will do everything to make your stay enjoyable and to have a chance to get to know some of the local people than I highly recommend Christina House. It was the perfect place to start and end our trip to Tanzania.

Room Tip: Recommend the rooms at the back on the upper level as quieter.

We stayed here to have a look at Kilimanjaro, I have been at the summit and my wife has seen it out of the airplane. The landlady, Christina, gave us a very warm welcome and made us feel at home from the very first moment. She and her kind women supply a first class service, helping and supporting wherever they can. For those who are interested in learning something about Tanzania and life in this country, this location is a good choice. The room and bathroom are nicely furnished, especially the dining room with its wooden furniture is overwhelming. In this atmosphere, the first class food tastes even better. As there is nothing we might have wished better, we will surely come back again.

Christina and her staff are wonderful hosts! I stayed at the place while my husband was climbing the Kilimanjaro, and I felt like home. I took a cooking class (the food here is simply great!), and Christina and her people helped me getting around. The rooms are nicely furnished, the bathroom is spacious, the garden is lovely.

Although the place is right next to the street Arusha-Moshi, the large palm trees hide the place from view. Birds are singing, many can be watched while sitting under the trees. Still the street is close, which is very convenient for getting around. An ideal place as a starting point for Safaris and the Kilimanjaro-tour, but also offering a lot to discover while staying in Arusha.

"Mama Christina" took care of me as if I was a family member, and there's a lot you can do in Arusha! Trips to Arusha National Park, the beautiful Lake Duluti within walking distance, taking a dala-dala for a shopping or cultural tour to the city center, visiting the closeby market. One day Christina even took me to Meserani Snake Farm, on the other side of Arusha, with a Masai Museum and Masai women offering beautiful handicraft.

Thanks again to all of you - we'll be back!

Room Tip: The rooms to the back offer a lovely view of Mount Meru.

We stayed at Christina's house in August as part of our honeymoon. We only had one night there before being picked up for our safari but wish we could have stayed longer. Christina and her staff were incredibly welcoming - we stayed in one of the rooms at the back, it was decorated with petals for our honeymoon (which was a lovely surprise!) and we were not disturbed by noise from the street. We had dinner and breakfast at Christina's which was absolutely delicious!

Would definitely recommend staying here if visiting Arusha.

Room Tip: Chose a room at the back of the house, not disturbed by noise from road.
