We stayed in Duluti Lodge twice- before and after the trip to Kili.
All bungalows are well spread from each other leaving your privacy undisturbed.
Architecture is modern, but authentic. Interior is of high standards, up-to-date, very cosy and comfortable.
The entire area is extremely well attended; dry leaves are collected every morning, plants are trimmed on a regular basis, no trash at any point- quite different from other lodges.
The best of Duluti Lodge is its Chief! He is amazing. We spent 5 nights and there was never a fault... Lunch and dinner come in set menu (with some options for vegetarians) and every day it's different. I must say, you could get the same quality food in some 5-star hotels, it's well planned, cooked and professionally served.
The disappointing part is front desk and housekeeping. Even though, all staff is very nice, I believe, they are lacking some basic training. So, do not be surprised, if one morning you would be asked to shift from your bungalow to another one due to some mystic reasons and have to wait for it for 4-5 hours. Also, do not be surprised if upon check-in you find the bathroom not cleaned, half of the lamp bulbs broken, and (if you are lucky) the bath slippers from the previous guests. The funny part of the last point is that when we asked to change the slippers, cute housekeeping lady replaced them with another USED ones :-)
I wouln't recommend so-called spa, as reflexology foot massage ended up as a gentle stroking. Also, was about to do mani- and pedicure, but cancelled when I found out, that the sterilization of the tools was just a rinsing them with water.
Anyways, overall, I had a good impression of Lake Duluti Lodge (again, in comparison with other places) and would come back there once again.
