A great stay at this lodge! Quite location and a nice and clean lodge. The service is great, from the GM down, they wanted to help with everything. Food is great, both Lunch and dinner. The head chief is a helpful person and will cook you anything. Gerald the GM is nice person and sorts any problems one has.

The only aspect they can improve is that the rooms are not cool, and no AC and few windows in the room. But they have fan! But the area only gets hot for 2 or 3 months a year.

Do not miss to stay at this lodge if you are visiting Arusha for pleasure or business.

Room Tip: Try to get rooms far from the main lodge, so that you can enjoy the nature.

We had such a wonderful time at this lodge. Nice gardens and fantastic view of the lake. Rooms are clean. Main building is very english and service is impressive. Food is excellent, five star quality and then big offer from snacks to set menus. No Swimming pool though. Nice place to stay.

Room Tip: Head or tails win win situation. All rooms are excellent.

We spent our first night in Tanzania here. The main building could use a little sprucing up. It took way too long to check in. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous. The rooms were nice. The breakfast was quite good. Don't be frightened after you turn off the main road. You will drive on a ruddy dirty road through a very impoverished area and then travel about a mile into the country before reaching the hotel. When the sun comes up in the morning you will be surrounded by beauty.

Our room had 3 singles. Beds were comfortable. Had trouble with having hot water in the shower. Maintenance was responsive but I still didn't have it the last morning. I was in room 39.
Lost a camera on the grounds by the reception area and it was never returned.
There was a body odor smell that permeated the room.

The rooms at this hotel were beautiful. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The service, however, could use some work.
We stayed here at the beginning and at the end of our safari experience. The first time we checked in to the hotel, we were given a room at the end of the property (approximately 1/4 of a mile away from the bar and restaurant). The hotel manager watched my husband carry our luggage to our room. When we had dinner, I had lamb and asked for some mint sauce. After about a half an hour the waiter came over and asked how I liked my dinner (because I hadn't eaten any of it). By now my husband was done with his dinner. He then took my dinner and warmed it up and finally brought the mint sauce.
On our second stay at this hotel, we experienced similar service at the restaurant. The restaurant was almost empty but service was still sub par. We waited about 20 minutes between the time one course was removed and the next course was delivered. I could see this if the restaurant was busy but it wasn't. They need to train their wait staff better.

Room Tip: try for a low number. We had number 29 and it was very far from the restaurant, bar area.

Thank you for feedback we have noted your positive comments on our rooms and grounds which we shall endeavor to maintain.
On guest luggage the standard is to escort our valued guests upto the room and show them the basic facilities. What happened is not our standard and we are keen to establish reason why it did happen to prevent same in future.
Management has noted the slipshod service you experienced in the restaurant and assure of enhancement in training as a result of feedback from our esteemed customers which is the best way of judging our performance standards.
