“Good Arusha option”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 November 2009

Very nice hotel with a choice of 4 restaurants. Room was good quality with a round bed! This was ok for us but would not be good for anyone taller than 6ft as it was quite small. We had a very bad waiter in the evening which spoilt the evening

After reading some bad reviews I was a little worried, but whe we arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was nice, the rooms were decent and the food was good. The pool was a good spot to relax and there are nice views of Mt. meru. A good value for the money.

The design of this hotel is very strange and hazardous. There are rooms that do not have access to the outside, i.e. both your entry door and your window opens to a corridor. I had never seen this before. This means that there are rooms that are in the middle of corridors! the most strange thing about this is that not only do you not have access to the outside, you also have no airconditioning. Now, picture this and old carpert on the floor! the room is something I just cannot explain. You have to worry! when I went to inquire about central air, I was told that they can give me a fan!

After 8 days spent on Kilimanjaro it was a lovely treat to be staying in a hotel like this. With a grand entrance and very helpful porters assisting with luggage to your rooms. Check in was fast and painless. Room was spacious with a view of the pool and gardens. Large double bed - extremely comfy! Satillite TV with english channels, hairdryer. Large bathroom with a great powerful shower - just what we needed after the mountain, ha!
Laundry express service was amazing we washed several ites including trainners put them in about 6pm and they were ready for the evening after we had our meal and returned to our room at about 10.30pm. Very cheap also!
Food was great, loads choice from Chinese, Indian to pizza and normal european food. We chose the pizza which was massive!!!! Bar service and waiter service was very slow though and they couldnt seem to handle large orders very well.....
Wake up call was precise - buffet breakfast was satisfactory (never a big fan of these) although the juices were horrible. Normal drinks were available. Internet service was very good at this hotel. Would defintly recommend to stay here again!!!!!

I checked into the Impala Hotel after a bad experience in a restaurant in one of the 5 star hotels where I had initially been booked. My stay at the Impala Hotel's new wing was superb. Plus I had excellent meals from a variety of their magnificant restaurants.
They have an amazing pool; and the property is well priced, worth every penny. Rooms are perfect with showers and tubs. Highly impressed, will definitely stay again.

Stayed here for a few nights pre/post safari. Reception staff were amusingly rude at all times. The food was alright, though the breakfast wasn't the best. Our first room was looking over a building site, with no A/C, and tiny. A friendly chat with the porter got us moved to a better one overlooking the pool which was bigger and had A/C. You coud do worse.

We stayed here before our safari trip. The hotel was basic and for the most part, fairly clean. The breakfast buffet was delicious.
