We had flown in to Kilimanjaro airport and were driven to stay our first 2 nights in Tanzania at Onsea House before going out on safari. The cottage rooms are very well appointed and very spacious with extremely comfortable beds. It takes a bit of getting used to waking up to the dawn chorus of various birds and animals but that is part of the atmosphere! We went off to visit Moshi and it was great to come back and relax around the pool before watching the stunning sunset from the verandah with a refreshing sundowner. Food was all delicious and carefully thought out ( my favourite was the tropical apple crumble with pineapple, passionfruit and mango crumble!) although it would have been nice to taste a bit more of an African influence rather than European.
It s definitely worth spending an extra night here rather than the usual one night that most people spend do.The staff were all very helpful and charming as were the Management. Being family owned and run makes all the difference!More
