“Simply Spectacular!!!!”

If you are looking to spend your last night in Arusha before flying home, this is THE place.. A real Garden of Eden with lovely landscape and beautiful birds that are a wonder to watch and listen to.
The owners and staff are extremely friendly and accomodating... Giving us a wonderful lasting impression of Tanzania.
The rooms are spotless with just about every amenity.. Hair dryer, wifi in main areas, shower gel, lotion, shampoo, in room coffee with generous selection of teas/coffees, swimming pool, outdoor shower, sauna... The dining is fabulous as well.
If you want to be near the main area, book a room there.. There is a private villa across the street with 2 rooms available .. If you want extreme peace and quiet and private pool shared only with the other room, it is simply breathtaking. Note that the bed is a full size.. So if you are 2 people of size, the bed may feel too small. You might be better off booking a room with twin beds or check to see if they have queen or king beds.
Security is round the clock .. Both sides are gated.. Absolutely no worries there at all.
Check out time is 10 am.. If your flight is later in the evening, consider adding a "day room" to your booking. Totally worth it.

One word sums up our experience there regarding the property, management, and staff: FLAWLESS

Room Tip: For the ultimate peace and quiet, request of the rooms in the villa.

Three of us rose to the challenge of climbing Kilimanjaro, which left us in dire need of relaxation. This was perfectly satisfied by two days at Onsea House. It was a slice of heaven after the climb, with incredibly friendly management and staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. The spa and pool complex soothed our aching bodies and the food, created by the talented chef Axel, was simply to die for. We had the full board option and each meal was exquisitely crafted to bring out stunning flavours. The rooms were decorated with fabulous pieces of art and were very comfortable and well appointed.
For anyone looking to relax for a few days, Onsea House is the perfect paradise. For us it was the perfect end to the most challenging climb of our lives.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 5 which was close to the pool and restaurant with a fabulous deck area.

We started and ended our safari trip here, and we could not think of a better bookend. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm and attentive without being intrusive; the cottages beautifully appointed; and the food by far and away the best we ate in Tanzania - which is already at a high standard.

Each cottage is uniquely situated to ensure privacy, and the views from each are spectacular - particularly at sunset, where you can enjoy your sundowner of choice from either the poolside or your own cottage.

We all found it hard to imagine anyone having a bad stay here - my only regret is not staying longer.

We had flown in to Kilimanjaro airport and were driven to stay our first 2 nights in Tanzania at Onsea House before going out on safari. The cottage rooms are very well appointed and very spacious with extremely comfortable beds. It takes a bit of getting used to waking up to the dawn chorus of various birds and animals but that is part of the atmosphere! We went off to visit Moshi and it was great to come back and relax around the pool before watching the stunning sunset from the verandah with a refreshing sundowner. Food was all delicious and carefully thought out ( my favourite was the tropical apple crumble with pineapple, passionfruit and mango crumble!) although it would have been nice to taste a bit more of an African influence rather than European.

It s definitely worth spending an extra night here rather than the usual one night that most people spend do.The staff were all very helpful and charming as were the Management. Being family owned and run makes all the difference!

Coming upto the highlands of Arusha from a steaming hot coastal island.... getting a beatiful room with all facilities in place and nicely decorated, mingling down to the terace for some smooth drinks with the Chef, getting a loveful presentation of the menu of the night... later enjoying the excellent dinner itself accompaigned by some selected good wines... wieving the night fall over the hills of Arusha... rolling happy and in good company back to the room for a full night sleep in a very comfortable bed.... I mean... HOW NICE WAS THAT!!

Thanks for a wonderful evening, you know it was not the first time, and surely not the last. Keep it up.
