“Good Hotel in Arusha”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 December 2013

The Rooms are clean, big with lot of space to relax with comfortable beds and nice views, the Dining has a lot of fresh foods and natural tropical fruits, The location is very good and quiet in very much natural environment apart from the construction taking place nearby which was happening at night, hope it gets finished very soon

Had a one night stay here in December 2013 en-route to Tarangire national Park. Check-in was a breeze, and the room was spaciaous and well appointed. My room had a great view of the pool and the garden bar surrounding it. The bathroom is king size with a separate bath tub and shower cubicle. The breakfast was tasty though the variety could have been better. The
wi-fi worked well and the location is excellent- right in the midle of town, within 5 minutes walk of anywhere I wanted to go- and good value for the money I paid. Will not hesitate to recommend this
hotel to anyone going to Arusha.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool facing room...

The Kibo Palace is well located, walking distance from the city centre. Although it is in front of one of the busiest roads in Arusha, the rooms are quite, not to much affected by the road traffic. The construction is solid and very well maintened.

First impressions really do count. So when arriving at a hotel that really looks great and has good reviews, it is a bad let-down to be told, "Sorry but we dont have a room for you" - in spite of there being a confirmation from the hotel that a room had been booked. And this at 21h00! i was told that "Mary" who had confirmed the booking, "had left". After some running around and calls to the manager a room was found but the bad taste was left. As mentioned by other reviewers, be careful about which room you get - the ones facing the road are noisy and it would appear that other parts of the building are noisy as well, but for other reasons.

Room Tip: Try and get a room away from the front entrance or the main road.

We stayed in the hotel prior and a safari and the kilimanjaro. Rooms are standard but clean. Take care that your room does not face the street, else you can't open the window during the night due to the noice. The pool is very clean, a gym is available. From time to time, bigger events take place (rotary club and business events) that the pool might not be used. We did not have food a la cart, but the evening menue and one time evening buffet. The food was just average, fish at the buffet was dry (liike usually @buffets). The menue was nothing special, 3 courses, we got 2 times the same menue. The breakfast is much better. Choice of fruits, cereals, pastries, african hot dishes, english breakfast, and omlet of choice.
The staff is very friendly and makes an excellent service. Security is high. Luggage storage excellent. In my opinion too expensive but there are no real cheap hotels with a certain standard over there. Barcleys bank around the corner, some restaurants in walking distance.

Room Tip: room should face the pool

I have always liked this hotel. And my recent stay verified my previous opinion. The outdoor areas and being able to eat meals outside are part of the reasons I like this hotel. That and the location, which is near the center of town (walkable) but quiet enough to be off the beaten path, also help. The rooms are clean and well appointed, air conditioning being important to me.

Room Tip: Having previously stayed there, I was given a suite without asking for it.

I would caLl this a small boutique hotel with spacious rooms,Very good buffet restaurent and the location is decent. They have all the amenities you would expect in a 5 star hotel and the service is generally good. There are some grey areas in the service specially in the front desk other than that my two stays there has been very pleasant
