Two weeks of peace and calm and we have rebooked for December/January.
All the structures are open and lined with trees, shrubs and tropical foliage. The pool is square and inviting. Both the Ficus restaurant in the centre of the resort and the Beach restaurant are fabulous in their layout, clean lines and openness. The rooms are spacious. We looked at a pool suite but spent our stay in a suite on the first floor of the room buildings. Living room was huge and bedroom exactly right in size to house a super king bed. The bathroom was open and consisted of a rain shower, handheld shower, huge bath tub and a long rectangular sink for two. The WC had a frosted glass door. Wardrobe space was open, so was the storing space under the sink for toiletries.
There were two good size televisions but we could not hook them up to our apple devices which was a shame because the DVD collection in the resort library was rather outdated.
But there are electrical sockets all over and plug transformers are provided.
The food was excellent and the all day breakfast the best idea ever. I enjoyed this a lot.
If you love to be pampered, go and book a series of treatments at the very beginning of your stay. We booked each 5 treatments at the spa and had a massage every other day. What bliss! Joe who was at spa reception is also an excellent masseur. He is a gem. I also recommend Pang highly, whether for Thai or oil massages. All the other women masseuses were very good; I should know, I have a massage therapy diploma myself and tried massages all over the world and in the best spas. This spa is in several different purpose built huts and can accommodate two people at the same time.
There is a small fitness room with a treadmill, stationary bike, a few machines and free weights. But who wants to work out for long in a airconditioned place if you can take a long beach walk and swim in the ocean or pool?
Dawid K is a great manager and teacher of wines too. We spent a few hours learning about different wines in the “wine cellar”.
He also planned a very nice Xmas dinner at the beach and a stunningly beautiful New Year’s Eve party around the pool and beach. It was wonderful.
All the staff are friendly and all do their best in serving the guests. Kop around the pool was always setting up fresh loungers around the pool, replenished water and brought cool towels and fresh fruit in the afternoon. Mon was getting knowledgeable about wines in the restaurant. Alex managed to get us into a more central suite. Kade always had an eye on hospitality arrangements. Ben was very enthusiastic to get us into more adventure. So many staff, so many names; they were all fabulous.
It took us 10 full days to step out of the resort, going for a lengthy beach walk. We were so totally blissed out.

Room Tip: Two weeks of peace and calm and we have rebooked for next December/January. All the structures are...

I visited the Sarojin 3 years ago as a solo traveller, and went back with my partner this time (we stayed in a suite). It was hard to improve the standards, but the Sarojin staff managed to do it (mostly by prolonging the breakfast time until 18h00 - no more "stress" not to miss the breakfast).

The property is simply beautiful and sunk in the green. One word above all: peacefulness! If you are looking for a place to indulge yourself in complete tranquillity and luxury, this is the address you're looking for.

As for the service: flawless. Everything is taken care of in the details and the hotel is small enough for the staff to follow all the request personally. Thumbs up!

One very minor remark: the level of English of some staff is not very good. Does this create any problem? Not at all. Everybody remains helpful and ready to help... So this might only create some funny moment of miscommunication, that's all. And anyway, my Thai is non existant so who am I to judge :-D Moreover, it seems that the Hotel has a full time English teacher working for the staff.

So all in all, a great visit. This place definetly motivates to go back!

We got back from holiday about 10 days ago and are really missing this place. Forget any negative things you may have read…… this place is fantastic.

The hotel is beautiful with stunning gardens and pool area. Whilst it is set back from the private beach we found this part of the charm like walking into your own private estate..

We stayed in 508 a beautiful suite with little relaxation pool on the terrace and wonderful bathroom with a couples bath …. well worth the extra but all the rooms looked superb.

The all day breakfast is fabulous with so many tempting options… my favourite was the scrambled eggs with parmesan and truffle oil.
In the evenings we ate in both the Ficus and Edge restaurants and both were brilliant. There are beach restaurants around if you fancy a change but quite honestly the food and service was so good we didn’t venture out. Dawid has a wonderful award winning wine cellar where you can choose your own personal cellar for your stay...a definate recommendation.

I had arranged a private dinner on the beach for my wife which was wonderful & very romantic

The spa is lovely with very friendly staff and the treatments were superb. I had the best sports massage.

We took a couple of excursions ..they were great . You are really well looked after by your personal guide and driver and we had the most wonderful time.

At the Sarojin nothing is a problem ..if you want ice cream for breakfast (yes I did with the waffles) then you can have it. Fancy a romantic lunch on a secluded beach or cocktails watching the sunset all can be arranged just ask….

But what really makes this place so special is the wonderful & attentive staff. Without exception everyone was polite, helpful and just charming.

A big thanks to Dawid and all the staff for making our stay so very memorable….Julie is already planning a return trip!

Room Tip: We stayed in a suite which was WOW! The other rooms all looked woindeful. The rooms on the right si...

Just returned from 11 nights at the Sarojin where we got married on the 28th January.
I do not know where to start in singing the praises of the Sarojin from the moment we arrived and even before we were made to feel extra special. Our room was upgraded from the pool residence to the Sarojin Suite as part of the wedding package and we were simply blown away. The suite was huge with seperate living room and bedroom and bathroom. There was a huge terrace with a plunge pool it felt like home from home. Rooms were serviced twice a day and everything was always immaculate and staff were wonderful.

We were at the hotel 2 nights before the wedding and met with a wedding planner Junko who had taken care of all the details and nothing was left to chance. Prior to going we had decided to book the Jungle waterfall meal for the wedding night and this was also all taken care of and planned into the day meticulously.

The wedding day was simply magical my Husband was given a seperate room to get ready 3 hours before the service and assistance was given no questions asked by Alexandra and Sak both only too happy to help. We opted to get married on the beach and the flowers and all the detail were unbelievable the attention to detail was fantastic. Hundreds of flowers tied to a huge tree that overhung the beach and extra flowers brought in as decoration all tied in to perfectly match the cake. It was a dream come true and all totally effortless on our part which was great everything was taken care of.

Following the service we were chauffered to our private jungle waterfall dinner. This is probably the most memorable experience of our lives. It is simply magical there is nothing else to describe it. Hundreds of candles 2 seating areas a private chef and a waiter just for you and the food was simply amazing. We were treated like celebrities and the waiter Sea who was also the waiter for our beach BBQ a few nights after the wedding was amazing. The service was out of this world and I would urge anyone who visits the Sarojin if you do nothing else do this. Its worth every penny and more I would pay double for an experience like that.

After the wedding we had our own in room private breakfast again the balcony was decorated with flowers and the service was amazing. All the dining experiences were overseen by Kade who took care of all the details and made sure everything was what we asked. We did not think we could possibly get anymore special touches but they just kept coming.

Everything about the Sarojin is perfect for a special holiday and I would recommend it to anyone getting married in Thailand. The wedding isn't legal unless you do some paperwork in Bangkok however Kuoni the holiday company took care of all these details and it is easily done.

The Sarojin is located a bit out of the main town approx 20 mins drive but there are other bars and smaller restaurants on the beach that are great for good cheap Thai food. The 2 restaurants in the Sarojin are fantastic but the prices are more European standard however you get what you pay for in terms of service/surroundings and presentation. The Sarojin does offer a shuttle service however note the times as they have an early bus at 4pm then the next one isn't until 8 so if you plan to eat out bare this in mind. It would be better to have a 7pm shuttle I think but perhaps they have gone with popular demand.

During our stay we had spa treatments at the Pathways spa again fantastic we had a couples day 5 hours each tailored to our needs and the price was approx 500 for the both of us including Elemis treatments. Considering facials by Elemis are approx 70 pounds alone in the UK the prices are fantastic and again setting and design of the spa is wonderful.

As part of the honeymoon package we also had the beach private candlelit BBQ. Again amazing and Sea was our waiter once again. The food was excellent all very fresh and cooked to perfection be warned there is enough for 6 people so dont worry if your full to bursting.

On this trip we didn;t have chance to experience a cruise on the Lady Sarojin boat but we will return and that is top of the list.

The hosted cocktail evening was great and we got to meet other guests and the manager Dawid who was really welcoming and happy to help.

I could write a book singing the praises of this hotel and all the staff. Our wedding was simply magical and I will treasure the memories forever. I will return to the Sarojin to celebrate an anniversary or other special occassion and I have recommended it to all my friends and family.

I would like to thank all the staff for there hard work and effort.

Martyn and Samantha

Room Tip: We stayed in the Lady Sarojin suite but literally any room would be perfect all of a great standard...

We stayed at the Layana at Koh Lanta who have a most unusual and in my view high limit for children of 18 years old. Here at the Sarojin it is 10 years old.
This tells you a lot about the clientel , many are of a certain age although at the Sarojin there is a
mix with some at the younger end of the spectrum however people seem to keep to themselves
rather a lot and be here for a quiet holiday.
The manager is excellent and the staff more than helpful.
The ambience and gardens stunning and beautiful.
Breakfast and the Mediterranean restaurant are in a sort of mangrove eat under an umbrella or inside as you may get something unexpected in the food, the all day breakfast Only Once is good
we ate once here at night and the meal was good. The Thai seafood restaurant by the beach serves really excellent Thai food. Prices are highish.
The room a garden room is beautiful although the massive bathroom is a bit of a triumph of design
over practicality a huge space half filled with loose pebbles.
Fresh fruit and snacks every day
The last 2 years has seen the beach area restricted by the building of 2 or 3 large places near to
the Sarojin restricting the beach front which seems strange on such a massive open and beautiful
beach this did not worry us. The sea is warm but sometimes a bit rougher than the pond at the Layana ! Beautiful pool in the gardens.
We are staying here 10 lazy nights and would be terribly spoilt if we did not say it is a truly beautiful hotel.

Our 10-days in Sarojin was an amazing experience thanks to the outstanding service standards of the hotel.
One among many other examples of customer focus these guys have - our luggage did not make the last connection and ever since we arrived to Sarojin, the reception staff really "owned" our problem. We received immediately a "survival" kit and a set of clothes we could wear, meanwhile reception was regularly calling the airport to find out the status of our luggage and was updating us. When the luggage did not make it next day, yet again we were provided a set of clothes which probably would not work for the party in Cannes but was perfectly fine for the vacation.
The breakfast in the hotel is served a la carte and it is an extensive list of cooked food, fresh juices and sparkling wine. The beauty of it is that you can take it any time of the day, so for us it turned into dinner on a few occasions. The food is very well cooked and presented, and the juices are freshly squeezed.
The room (we had a Garden view one) is very big, tastefully decorated, with a big bath for two big europeans like us), and two showers, very clean. We were provided a basket of fresh fruits daily, as well as complimentary water, coffee, tea and some snacks. The nice touch was perfectly starched napkins.
The hotel has own beach, service there was also super impressive.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to a demanding customer. I personally think it works best for the couples without kids as there would be nothing for them to do, and in all honesty would spoil the serenity of the place... The hotel has quite a big space for the number of guests, so at any point of time you feel like you are the only couple there and all this kind andwell trained staff is just to serve YOU...
One last point, some people may argue that the hotel is somewhat more expensive than some hotels in the area. We did have a look at those and believe that for just a bit more money in Sarojin you get a lot more value... Thanks to the hotel service and quality standards!

Just returned from a holiday in Thailand. The Sarojin is a fabulous location for a special occasion - the grounds are magnificent. We arrived at night and the lights on the ponds were awe-inspiring. Accommodation was excellent, food gorgeous, and the pool large and welcoming. But is the attention to detail and the welcoming staff who make the holiday very special.
