Loved it here. Could have stayed for a month or 2. It's a really warm hearted place......I stayed in 3 rooms....the pool villas are worth every cent. It's quiet and the staff are lovely without being intrusive. Some staff are highly qaulified and multi lingual. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels in Thailand. This would be the best.Forget about the number of stars and go for the whole package. Breakfasts are stunning. The beach is liberating and long and quiet and low season is perfection from my point of view!! :) Hope you enjoy it ias much as I did!

We took the pool villa for 4D3N, and this was possibly the best getaway we had. The pick-up at the airport was punctual, and when we boarded the car, we were immediately provided with 2 bottles of water for the 1 hour long journey to the resort. Check-in was smooth & fast, and they gave us an early check-in even though it was way before the official time.

The villa we had was simply big and breathtaking, with sufficient amenities like the "anti-mosquito thingy", comfortable robes & bedroom slippers, coffee machine etc. Pool was decent at about 1.3m deep, enough for a relaxing dip but maybe not for a workout. The villas were in a quiet corner which gave enough privacy, and we could hear the sound of the waves in the distance.

The service provided was fantastic; they were nice and smiled at everyone, and seemed genuinely happy to be working there. The best thing is by day 2 they could even remember our drinks by heart! The ladies at the spa really know their stuff, and the massage was one of those "authentic" kinds you would be looking forward to.

This is definitely the resort to stay in if you are looking for a good holiday experience, and lives up to their #1 reputation in tripadvisor!

Room Tip: the beachfront villa looks a little too

What a treasure the Ramada Khao Lak was for us. Exquisite rooms, beautiful grounds, and a truly amazing staff. Simply put, this place is just done right.

All things being equal, what sets this place apart was the staff. They were friendly, cheerful, and super helpful. For instance, my fiancee is dairy allergic and we explained this to our waitress the first night during dinner and by the next morning, the ENTIRE staff was aware of her condition and helped her steer clear of items made with milk or butter during breakfast. That is just one example of how awesome they were too.

Go here, you will be happy.

We're here with out 2.5 year old and it is great. There is a fantastic 50 cm deep infinity pool facing the ocean that she would stay in all day. Thai food from restaurants is fantastic. Staff are lovely and very attentive. not much going on outside resort (very very sleepy) as is low season but doesn't matter as resort is lovely.

Ramada Khao Lak is amazing. Everything about the place was great, the food, the rooms, the pool, , the spa, the beach, and the activities. There were activites each day for adults and kids and the staff that ran them were great. Breakfast each morning was delicious and freah, and our room was neat, clean, and overlooking the beautiful quad area and the pool and ocean. Spa treatments were excellent and reasonably priced. We are already looking at dates for next year.

We went during the rain season which meant it was very quiet and relaxing. The staff was very attentive, service was excellent and we received coupons for massages and cocktails. The only disadvantage was a rough sea and no opportunities for diving or snorkeling trips.

We have been to Khao Lak two times previously and stayed at the Sarojin which was absolutely amazing! This time around we were taking our little baby so we chose the Ramada based on the excellent tripadvisor reviews.

Unfortunately the weather was shocking at the time. Not normal, but these things happen and we tried to make the best of it! They offered happy hour drinks all day long which was a really good idea!

We stayed in an Oceanfront room which was fantastic. Amazing views, private, really modern, huge bathtub, separate shower, two basins, lots of storage. Wonderful if you have a baby as there were doors that pulled out from behind the bed. We put the cot directly behind the door so we could watch dvds and have some time to ourselves while he slept. The Oceanfront rooms are also right beside the beach restaurants and massage places. Very convenient!

The babysitters were wonderful, lovely and attentive as were the majority of staff. The breakfast and reception girls were so entertaining and lovely to my little boy. A nice distraction for him as he had just started walking.

I did plenty of yoga while I was there which was fantastic. I was the only one who turned up for each session so it was lovely and private.

The cons were:
- The kids room needs more toys. There was a tub of blocks and some fish cushions and that was it. We also found a needle in the toy box and cleaning products in one of the cupboards with no lock.
- There were leaks in the ceiling of our outdoor area so we couldn't lay out there when it was raining and read.
- Also logging onto the internet from your room is so painful. You need to constantly put in a username and password.
- Only one or two English magazines and books. You will notice that they really cater for the German Market. Tiny library could do with a few more dvds too.

-Breakfast was really good but the other food was average. We did have some delightful food at The Candle and Green Peppercorn restaurant (walking distance).

The location of the Ramada is wonderful you can walk for miles along the beach and it's so close to so many restaurants and bars, markets. That was a really big positive for us. Overall a good stay.
