Well worth a trip. I'd recommend early morning (they open the gate at 8am). 200Bhat National Park entry fee for the whole day (valid for the rest of the park too)
It is a 1km walk on some steep slightly rough track from the gate to the first level of the waterfall. Then very steep rocky up the 5 levels.
I'd rather wear my hiking shoes than crocs but it's possible without.
The water is delightful to paddle or even swim. So take a towel too.
There are even toilets at the waterfall.
This was the 3rd waterfall we visited and the best one. Costs 200 bhts per person to get into the park. The walk to the bottom of the waterfall is about 1km along a rough path. Once you arrived at the bottom you can walk up a steep path to different levels of the waterfall. Path was muddy, steep and at times was difficult, however excellent exercise and worth the climb. Would suggest reasonable foot attire, I had Teva sandals with a reasonable grip and slipped at times, not sure how the people wearing flip flops coped. There is a toilet at the bottom but make sure you take some water as it is thirsty work.
Nice place for swimming and trekking.
Easy go by bike or taxi or bycicle then have a easy walk and enloy the beautiful rain forest.
And cool down in the lovely waterfall.
Visited the waterfall briefly on a rainy October day and even though it meant we had the waterfall to ourselves and it was still a very pretty place, the waterfall was raging and we really could not enjoy the water for fear of being swept away.
We decided on a drive out here to see what it was like. It's 200 bday each for entry but it's worth it. There is a 1km walk to the first part of the waterfall. It's a pretty rough track and pretty steep so u need to be mobile. We went in sandles and we managed but I could imagine it's b more comfortable in sturdier shoes.
The waterfall itself is beautiful. It has several different levels. We only went to the next level up and then came back down and had a swim. It's so wired as the water is full of little fishes and if you stand still for too long they start nibbling at you like the ones you get in a tank that you put your feet it, very tickly. Definitely worth a visit.
The waterfalls are very nice but you need to be reasonably fit to get to them, it is a 1 km hike to get to the first one, this hike is nearly all uphill, very tiring with the humidity, it cost 200 baht to gain access to the national park and there are some lovely trees to look at whilst walking to the waterfalls, to get to the nase of tne first one , you have to cross 2 bridges then climb over some slippery boulders, to reach the next set of falls you have to climb some very steep steps, I didnt attempt to do this but the younger ones did and said they wete very goog
