We stayed here for 1 week out of a 4 week visit to Thailand and were very disappointed overall with this hotel. Our room was very tired and the bathroom looked as though it had not been deep cleaned in years. Although there were 2 restaurants, only 1 by the beach was open most of the time and most nights we were blown away by the strong winds. The Saga bar was rarely manned and guests were constantly looking for restaurant staff to serve them. On our 50th wedding anniversary which should have been special, our wine glasses were blown over twice (short stemmed glasses) such was the strength of the wind and yet the more sheltered restaurant, incidentally where the food is cooked, was not open. Ae the Saga rep was charming and did a good job in spite of the odds. The highlight was a trip to the death railway which is a must and very moving. Definitely will not return to this hotel.

Center Cha Am. Low cost, family run. Mainly Thais with a sprinkle of foreigners. Would recommend if you require simple and convenient. Not up market. Not much else of higher quality or price in the area.

Room Tip: avoid by pool.

We have probably stayed here a total of 8 times over 8 years. It's our go to hotel in Cha Am.

Clean, basic rooms with breakfast across from the beach.

Staff is friendly and helpful and we have met some travelers whose schedule coincides with ours so see them year in and year out.

We have family in Cha Am so convenient for us.

Weekends along the beach can be crazy with Bangkokians coming down but that is part of the whole scene.

Air conditioned, free wifi both with no complaints

If you plan to travel down to the south of Thailand, Chaam is an ideal place to stop by. This hotel is a simple and basic resort that charge reasonable price. The room was quite big and the beach was also clean.

Helpful staff gladly to inform you about local attractions.

I have just stayed at cha am villa for 10 days after a bad time at another cha am hotel. The hotel location is very good for the beach but be aware it's a Thai resort and there is not too much to do after midnight as all the bars close. The bathrooms need some serious work doing to them other parts are also in need of work. You also need to be aware that the prices double on weekends I paid 900 baht Monday to Friday and 2000 baht on Saturday and Sunday . Do not expect too much of the breakfast it's Thai or fried eggs and toast the same every day it pays to eat out full English for £2 all around.

Basic bedroom, toilet and shower, slightly worn but perfectly clean. The hotel has no bar or restaurant but there are plenty nearby starting from only 10m away. Located across the road from the beach,, maybe 50m to the water's edge. Cracking good value for money a better overall experience than staying at other Thai hotels/resorts at 5x the price and we'll definitely be back .

Room Tip: try for a room nearest the entrance and therefore nearest all the external bars, beaches, etc
